I think there is “some” blame on burrow but it’s a small amount. I think probably 95% of the blame is a mixture of defenses and coaching. Offense and burrow definitely had drives they could’ve finished and executed better but it pales in comparison to the failures of defense and coaching decisions and failure to adjust play styles and the opposition

Taylor is 100% the reason they are losing... He should have never been the HC... Never called the plays in LA and only was hired because he coached at UC so he knew the area... The offense could have won most of the games this year without the defenses help and instead it was all blamed on the Defense. Burrow has to turn bad plays into something every drive. Even on the deep playoff runs they were driven by clutch Defensive TO... In the SB Taylor and the offense did not score on the last 5 Possessions. The last time the offense scored in that SB was off of a Defensive interception where they got a FG to go up 7... If Taylor cannot score with Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd and Mixon on 5 tries when you are in a SB he will never figure it out. The only way they could have won that game is if Defense won it for them. in 22 the defense bailed them out in WC and dominated allen in divisional round. In Championship game back to back drives with 0 points in a tied game. Defense was huge in the playoff wins, Offense really struggled in the playoff losses and Burrow got all the credit. Allen out played Burrow and Mahomes but loses the coin toss in OT so he's a bum, right... Following week mahomes wins cointoss but defense forces a pick to set up team to win in OT... Burrow gets all the credit for Money mac FG... Does not seem fair, especially since Bass missed a FG the the bills the following year against KC. The best 3 players on the offense are still there from that run, but the defense is missing Bates and Reader. They knew the Defense was suspect this year, they built the team on offense, and the offense either cant score in tied games or TO it over in close games with the lead... That is coaching. What good is it having all the offensive weapons if you cannot score when you need to... Especially at the cost of your only consistent unit the Defense... Everyone saying why cant Lou develop these young guys??? Why cant Taylor and Joe develop the Young WRs and Other offensive players??? Why is most of the production on offense still burrow to chase... Taylor once said its Jimmies and Joes not Xs and Os... Well the defense has no Jimmies or Joes and the offense has the Jimmies and joes and no Xs and Os. They are too 1 dimensional on offense too. That goes back aways. 65%+ passing plays this year... Keep in mind thats with 3 straight runs against the Ravens... LOL This team is built for stats not wins... He has 0 game winning drives on the year. Even on the SB run the 2 game winning drives came off interceptions against Titans and In OT at Arrowhead. The offense is not clutch... They won the Playoff games on clutch defense and clutch Special teams and eventually the Top End Offensive players break a tackle and turning nothing into something. I am sorry but Chase taking a slant to the house is not great scheming... Its just great talent beating the other guy... Its time to even out the Jimmies and Joes and get someone who can scheme the Xs and Os on the offensive side of the ball to limit mistakes and keep Burrow upright. The details on offense are lacking and they do not play disciplined. They focus too much on the big play and not enough of reading defenses and changing routes. Offense is way to simple and it shows. Defense has its problems but down 6 against a terrible pats team Brady and Peyton would have won that game on an epic drive. Up against the Chiefs early in the 4th... Brady and Manning would have driven the length of field and put the game away... In a shoot out Brady and Manning would have gone for TDs... Etc... Peyton had some terrible defenses but in a close game with the ball in his hands he won the game. Brady had some games where the defense was getting shredded and it was a 1 score game and brady had the ball and made it happen... 7 times in the playoffs Mahomes was down 7 points or less with less then a minute on the clock and possession he either tied it or took the lead all 7 times. That is clutch... Hoping Chase takes a slant to the house is not good football. Taylor is a liability calling games. Mahomes clutch drives are a combination of coaching and improvisation. Brady had great coaches and so did Manning. I honestly feel they kept the offense in tact to make Taylor look more competent than he is... Imagine if they signed Bates when they had the chance and tagged and traded higgins... Imagine what the team would look like. Taylor kept 2 out of the best 3 in Chase and Burrow and Lou gets Hendrickson and Bates. Truth be told there are a hand full of coaches who know how to win a SB and Taylor is not one of them... He is Jeff Fisher 2.0 except he is under 500... Bring in BB and get the details right.

Yeah the defense has been bad the last couple years but whenever it's time for the offense to have a game winning TD drive or Ice the game the inevitable stall comes. It's time for a philosophy change & a more serious approach to off-season preparation instead of the going light to keep our guys healthy leading to slow starts just to still end up with injured players anyway 💯💯

There's been key Defensive Players like Jesse Bates who left the Bengals and others. It's a Team Sport and the Team that's on the Field is NOT doing their job. For example there was fourteen missed tackles in the Steelers Bengals Game last Sunday. I would also add that Refs don't always make calls. There's a lot of Missed Calls- Non Calls that could and would affect the outcome/score of the Game.

Shannon Sharpe may have a point, but a competitor is a competitor. The defense is the first, obvious, problem. I have been saying for a very long time, the bengals really don't protect their quarterbacks. Going back to Palmer and Dalton, it has always seemed to me that most years our quarterbacks have had less time to get rid of the ball, or the O-line can't open running lanes for the running backs effectively. This makes the teams VERY one dimensional, especially this year. Our defense doesn't seem to want to do basic tackling, and isn't swarming the ball all that aggressively. Could be a team culture thing or lack of talent, but something is missing.

I have supported Zack. But since he’s been here . The running game hasn’t been very good . Burrow is the most sacked QB and the defense gets worse every year. Draft picks don’t seem to be developing either. I think on any other team he would be fired. Also , how do you sign quality free agents , extend Chase and convince your players your serious about winning if they don’t make drastic changes.

If the HC job were open it would be one of the top 3-5 jobs in the entire NFL. You have to ask yourself, is Zac a top 5 HC? No.

It’s hard to say, all I know is he gave up points to the other team and if they didn’t have them 10 points we would have won, that said the D gave up points too, it’s a team sport it’s really hard to blame just one person, SS made some good points about other QBs but they have good D we don’t that’s the difference

Shannon Sharpe is 100% right. What has Joe actually done besides put up big numbers in the 1st 28 minutes of each half? He absolutely chokes when it's crunch time. If it wasn't for defense during their SB run they would of never made it. It wasn't Joe that got them there. Joe has a overall losing record as a starter. Joe is supposed to be the leader of the team. As the leader he sucks. But he got his $$ from all the delusional bromance everyone has for Average Joe. Fire him! He got lucky with a good team base and great first round picks. He is wasting a generational QB and the SB window is now closed. This was the year guys and Zac, coaching staff and Front Office blew it! Also he is not developing Burrow. Many of us have noticed that Burrow didn’t close the deal in the 4th Qtr, and this season we lost 4 games thanks to his mistakes, because in NFL one mistake costs you a game. Net, Brady and Mahomes evolved thanks to great coaching who developed them to elite levels. They both would probably would’ve been nobodies under Zac.
