Considering they added the Vampire Coast to the game, a very small and underrated faction on their own, I wouldn’t be surprised if they might add these guys after all! And if they don’t, Well...... we can pester them enough to see if they consider adding these underrated gems. They’ve been pretty good with this game universe so far, so I have some hope. That’s my personal opinion at least.

Either way, I think that they’re in good and safe hands. and if CA add them as official armies anyway, well.... that’s just an absolute win anyway!!!😁 I don’t think we have to worry too much, considering how much love and attention they’ve been putting into these games, and especially keeping them friendly and respectful to the original material. Hell, even the added custom additions they made to some of the factions and their units have been amazing, while not compromising anything. I think TTW is going to be the greatest strategy game CA have ever made, and the effort they put in shows it. I think we’re in for the long haul with just endless golden opportunities. 😊

I liked a lot the End Times, the only problem is Manfred killing Balthasar and ruining everything, they could have won, epic ending The cities in any case the countries had been destroyed, Ulthuan sinked, elves united, the tomb kings serving Nagash... the lizardmen disappeared... great oportunity to continue the WHF lore... a new beggining in the old world, even the geography could have changed a bit. It could have been awesome... but no, lets destroy everything.

Cathay and the east got a major lore update with their inclusion in total war 3 and there is a good chance we will get more eastern factions going forward so there is a high likelihood this video may require an addendum. I think the death of the dragon emperor id definitely a keep regardless and you can make it even sadder. As golden flames consume him he speaks his final farewells to his children asking them to guide Cathay in his absence as he leaves them for the final time. this would leave Cathay in the control of either the moon empress or the dragon children for whom there are 5 but I think we can whittle that number down a but by this point.

They already cut ot Araby as a faction because CA was probably afraid of backlashes from the usual people (SJWs, blue checkmarks etc.) if they would depict a faction that somewhat resembles a certain culture as anything else than perfect. So I doubt we will ever see Nippon or Cathay outside of mods, which really sucks because both factions sound really interesting.

They didn't forgot Skarsnik, he actually was in Nippon during the final fight, he was training in the Way of the Sword to get revenge for his squig. What REALLY happened at the end wasn't the chaos gate exploding, it was actually Skarsnik releasing his ultimate attack, named "Hidden Technique: Wrath of the Seven Celestials Gobbos", but he went all out with it, which caused the Old World, the Chaos realm and even Gotrek's beard to be slashed into nothingness. The only thing left was Skarsnik and his blade floating endlessly in the void, too strong to die, but too alone to being able to brag about it

Honestly it really is a pity that the eastern factions were neglected so much as they had a ton of potential, I mean just for example the Nipon Emperor basically had his wargear already made if you take inspirations from the Imperial Treasures of Japan. Not to mention all the various Yokai and other mythology that could be used as inspiration. Also one idea I have for Cathy is to give them essentially the Chinese Zodiac as a special type of unique monsterous unit, simply call them the Divine Beasts or something. I mean sure the Rat might be a bit tricky to work in properly due to how Skaven have dibs on that iconography but the point remains.

This was good, excellent work. As you say though, most of the reason the east was not ruined was because there was so little established lore there. All the general problems with the end times still apply here. The Skaven having enough troops to participate in the war here as well also really highlights the problem with them in the end times.

Loved this so much. The hordes of beast and monsters facing off against the golden armies of Cathy, the Discipline Samurai, and the major warrior gods of Ind. I just loved it. Thank you so much for showing this and telling of their stories. I do hope they will have a small presence in the final battle to come in Middenheim but that is just pure speculation at this point. Since these are minor factions that don't have more lore fleshed out. Will that mean other minor factions such as Amazons, Araby, and Albion may have a small rewrite as well? Would love to hear your thoughts. Keep up the amazing work.

The only thing i would add, if you allow me, is that [ ...at the moment of the Emperor of Cathay reaches the battlefield, he would find the skaven army at utter terror and disarray, really struggling to contain the advance of the Nipponese Samurai accompanied by the Ashigaru and every FUCKING member of the Nipponese society who sallied forth the castle ready to fight and die "for da honor of mighty Nippon". The Samurai, although outnumbered and suffering heavy casualties on its first wave of attack due to massive range fire, where able to reach the front line and cut every single rat they came across like they where cheese, killing at least one with every swing of their swords. Despite their best affords and the help of the Oni, the Kami and the Yokai flanking the Skaven, and the rodents being catch off guard, the rats just kept coming, and the Nipponese couldn't reach the cannons as fast as they expected, despite their untirable and constant efford in doing so. It was at this moment that the emperor (the Cathay one) not wasting a beat charges and *penetrates* the back line of the skaven, destroying every artillery piece and every rat-thing that confronted them. After the battle the emperor calls for an audience with the Shogun to form an alliance. The shogun arrives, his body and armor soaked with skaven blood, still winded from the battle, as he was the first one to reach the fronline of skaven, true to his word, and was insulted that the emperor of the Cathay had robbed him of his victory (typical honor stuff), the emperor bows to him in recognition the tremendous valor not only for him but for his people. The shogun refuses this compliment and states that "my people does not need recognition of outsiders, for we fight our own battles and win them with our efford". After a duel an Akira level of "in between" warriors/rulers conversation, they reach an agreement to form an alliance as equals to destroy chaos and help Ind, or whatever they are called. Before the Dragon king leaves on his steed, the shogun stops the emperor and [Bows as a warrior™] thanking him in the name of his people for aiding then in not being genocided. The emperor bows in recognition of the other leader and leaves. ...]

I grew up playing Western tabletop games, so almost every setting (Warhammer, Vampire, D&D) has laughably bad or inauthentic versions of 'Asian factions'. But play any Japanese game and the American side is pretty much guns and hamburgers. I guess there'll never be a game where east and west together are appropriately portrayed.

I think there's a missed opportunity to link or parallel Warhammer Fantasy to the lore of War40K in some tongue in cheek way (kind of like how Kalgor Draigo made a cameo). That final battle should take place on an ancient mountain monastery fortress on Warhammer Fantasy's equivalent of Mount Everest. The War40K equivalent would be the God Emperor's Imperial Palace. In Warhammer Fantasy, that fortress could be a nexus through which the winds of magic were most powerful. As the greatest mountain from which the source of all rivers throughout Ind and Cathay flow, it is the heart of Earth, and the source of wind and water. As Ind makes it's last stand at the monastery, the combined fleet of Cathay and Nippon arrives, and the combined army fight their way to the mountain monastery to try to lift the siege, but it wasn't enough. The Dragon Emperor and the Shogun however, managed to break through the lines of chaos and make it into the Monastery, with the Shogun falling in battle. Once all the leaders of the armies of Warhammer Asia gather within the Fortress Monastery, a vision came to them and they found some sort of a final solution. They all sacrificed themselves, from the Warrior Monks of Nippon, to the God Warriors of Ind, to the Dragon Emperor himself in a manner similar to the ancient Shamans of War40k and create an Avatar like being, maybe called the Star Child or something. The powers unleashed would have destroyed the good guys as well, so with it's godlike powers, the Star Avatar Child Emperor being magicks up the combined fleet still at the coast, allowing them to fly and pick up as many people as they can, and evacuate. That way, the ending could be similar and lead to age of Sigmar. The Avatar God Emperor of Asia could straight up rapture all the good, faithful people of Ind, Cathay and Nippon onto their glorious divine floating treasure fleet, and fly off into Age of Sigmar in a way that's less retarded than how the Lizardmen pulled that off.

The easiest way to fix the End Times would be to just retcon it like they did with the Storm of Chaos. I've yet to meet a Warhammer fan, even a hardcore Age of Sigmar fanboy, who says the End Times was a good idea.
