I know that exact feeling. Nothing in life can come close to it. For me it was “Sunny Came Home” by Shawn Colvin. Heard it on a PBS station info commercial for a giant complied album. Only heard it once, more than 2 decades ago at 3 am. It felt surreal, it haunted me for years because I couldn’t remember the lyrics. 2018 arrived, and I heard the familiar tune at some hardware store on vacation. Meaning that the husband went to war after the wife bid him farewell. Then while he's gone she's reminiscing about their times and wondering if he'll make it home alive. When the song says, "We need someone to lean on", it's talking about the family members and relatives of the people who were killed in the war. Note how the video shows a soldier, guns and buildings occasionally. Oops. Nobody asked for an explanation. Sorry!!
