@curlyman969 Its funny because I remember when Halo 3 came out. For the first week 1-2 million people were playing, then throughout the first year it varied from 700k-800k, second year about 300k-500k and finally hovered around 200k until reach came out. The thing that jumps out at me is that Reach has only 200k people playing right now! Thats insane it took years for halo 3 to decline that much. For me reach is slow, unskillful and really feels like your playing social all day even in arena.

@curlyman969 1. He's comparing it to its predecessors, which were MUCH more fast-paced. 2. No, its been proven that the best way to utilize the DMR is to spam, and spamming is random because of the bloom. 3. We agree maps are bad. Bungie did a great job with Halo 1, 2, 3. They failed with Reach.

@masterchieftan827 1. no bullshit bloom so accurate and fast shooting is rewarded over forced slow shooting. 2.no 'death streak' abilities. 3.maps that actually work. 4.no health so fair gunfights 5. requiring skill to use br and sniper. (4+5 in case you wanted MLG specific)

@Thehappypages If the pacing is really an issue, then they could just play SWAT or use the game settings to increase damage, etc. Bloom is a gameplay mechanic designed to slow down combat, to make aiming more important than shooting and in that it succeeds. And yeah the maps are terribad. Pretty standard.

@azn7136 No, you see, In H3 if someone has an inch of shield left and you melee them, they die, but in reach the shield takes it, making it harder to kill someone. Plus, since the BR is a three-round burst, it empties the shields faster. In H3 you 4-shot people. In Halo Reach you 5-shot people.

@masterchieftan827 doesnt make a difference. The 5 shot comes out faster than the 4 shot. I've tested it. The 5 shot actually kills faster when you time it than the 4 shot but barely, and if you semi-spam/time then it will always kill faster than the BR.

at the pro level its detrimental to get the sword in Halo 3. You saw it used in halo 2 often because it had infinite charge and super quick weapon swap with the br. Now in halo 3 even if you got it you would first give up position and second die quickly

@masterchieftan827 anddd the dmr kills faster than the BR. trust me. I played MLG, Doubles, Slayer, and lonewolf, and high ranked in all. The BR kills much slower than the DMR.

@Mcrichalot12 its not good for a game to be too slowly paved. that's like saying, so what if the food tastes bad, its still fun to eat. It's too slow paced, the only decent mps are halo 2 remakes, all the others were made with no strategic value, and bloom takes away the skill of aiming and adds it to the skill of being able to wait .5 seconds before shooting again. Anyways how do u get call of duty fan boy from that. call of duty has a problem of being too slow paced. Hes arguing against it

Bungie just added too many elements that make simple things more complicated. But that's ok, cuz I still kill the person, it just's frustrating waiting for an armor locker to get out, and i have no patience -.- Btw.. I wasn't an AR + melee person in h3, I only meleed when they had no shields and they were in front of me.

@masterchieftan827 Halo reach is so much easier than H3. Sniping feels like nothing compared to H3 and getting shots with the DMR is so easy across the map. The bad thing about Reach is the random factors like AL that make eve the simplest things take longer to do. I like bloom buts is too inconsistent. It's possible for a spammer to beat someone who's timing their shots with luck. The bloom system could be more perfect, but its not.
