Majuli is the world's largest river island which is in the race of being a world heritage site. Situated amidst the Brahmaputra river , Majuli island became the first island to be made a district in India. It is also listed in Guiness Book of world record as the largest river island. An island which is famous for its natural beauty, its vastness as an island, its unique satras or monastries and mask making.
