@@stabb you comment was just blatant slander, microsoft does daily giveaways on it's consoles for microsft rewards. It's the sweepstakes, they also put deals every month, they have the game pass which is 5 dollars more than a gold subscription, and you would get 100 of games for free and gold with it. If anything, they're more generous. Which isn't entirely true, but money hungry? Hell no.

@Soggy Slopster the sweepstakes are still sweepstakes, be glad we get anything in the first place. Also, it isn't scam, the people who won posted online about it so it is legit. They also announce the winners and you can look them up for yourself, microsoft also started the trend because keeping servers up with games is not cheap. Microsoft rewards will actually be a consistent spending amount, every other week I can get a fee gift card. It's just that people aren't patient enough, you can also use it explicitly to pay for your gold subscription as well. Gamepass I won't touch too much on due to it being a matter of opinion.

OG gamertags will remain without a suffix to show others that you were the first and the original which helps at least, but I tend to agree.

I'm so glad this change is here. I lost access to my old account several years ago and I LOVED the GT it had. It was heartbreaking losing that account not only because it had been my first account, but because the GT was a combination of my original GT and that of a friend of mine who had passed away. I may not be getting that old account back, but that's fine because with this new system, I can get back the GT

Yeah, it just merges the numbers to your gamertag instead of splitting them with a #. I just assumed Minecraft supported the new system because Microsoft owns Mojang. There's a customize button next to the way it would appear on games that don't support it if you're changing it on PC (not sure about console and mobile), but I didn't see it the first time and I don't wanna pay to change it, so I'm hoping Minecraft will support it in the future.
