The celebration of Makara Sankranti 2024 at the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam extended beyond the festivities. In the one year since its inauguration on January 14, 2023, the ashram has evolved into a sacred space, fostering cultural richness and becoming a beacon of hope for all. Through grand festivals, impactful healthcare, education and nutrition outreaches, and opportunities for selfless service, the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam now stands as a testament to the power of selflessness and unity.
In this abode of peace, the celebration of Makara Sankranti and the anniversary was a momentous occasion. Celebrations on 14th morning began with the Sahasra Modaka Homa and Mahabhishekam of Sri Sathyaatmatva Mahaganapaty. The evening comprised a musical offering of cherished melodies by the Geetha Sudha team.
The morning of 15th witnessed the Sankranti celebrations, enriched with inspiring speeches by Nayana Naik and Nutana Gowda, lab assistants at Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam. The duo reminisced about the divine bliss of participating in the events at the ashram over the past year and the inner transformation they experienced. The Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam hospital unveiled its new logo and tagline, “Yogagkshemam Vahamyaham.” Dr Gajanan Sabhahith explained how the essence captures the purpose of the Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini initiative. Launches of the 'Sai Answers Internally' series on KZbin, and the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini nutrition booklet were made, with each holding great significance in spreading the message of Bhagawan.
Evening of 15th witnessed the grand closing of the Makara Sankranti 2024 and 1st-anniversary celebrations featured a captivating and enthralling violin concert by Vidushi CS Chinmayi. She was accompanied by Vidwan Kaushik Sridhar on mridangam and Vidwan Sunil Kumar on kanjira.
