Great video One correction; the Botanist skill only works toward ‘consumable’ items. The Geologist skill is what effects non-consumable items; specifically Geologist lvl 2 is all that is needed for the 1* quest to be completed in ~30s. So with the Geologist lvl 3 (required for the lava run), there’s actually no need to add any Botanist skills unless you are also farming consumables. Another, stranger, tip is that if your character is holding onto the WireBug (as in, dangling after performing a WireBug move) while the quest counter ends, it will skip any animation for the end of the quest. Meaning you load back into Kamura about ~10s faster.

It should be noted, that the upsurges will last and the quest can be repeated if you complete the quest within 5 minutes. That way, however, you will not have progress in the village but you can restart the quest as many times as you like. And yeah, this route has been shown by many people, including gaijin hunter and there are even many ores that are left out or overlooked.

If you’re doing the zenny run, (I prefer using palumute, gaijins method) and at the end when the local info updates after 10-15 mins. Check to see what it changes to under quest info. Sometimes it changes from mining outcrops to local items. This means you don’t have to start another expedition for a kamura point run. YOU CAN DO ZENNY AND POINTS IN ONE EXPEDITION 🤯

Seriously... mentions watching other guides and doesn't mention that his route is just a copy of another guide. The normal/not-asshole way to do that would be to mention the original guide/video and point out your changes... not just claim it as your own. But the extra outcrop after the gustcrab is the only thing I took away from this video that improved on Gaijin's video. Palicos simply don't bring enough ore in to justify losing your doggo. Especially since you can just add an extra node (down the hill to the right after the last node on both routes) with the doggo and still bring one gathering palico if you're finishing the route fast enough that you're waiting for respawns.

If you're wanting a more passive way to earn both zenny and points at the same time, you can also fish in zone 6 of the shrine ruins, village expeditions work great for this cause with HR gear you can kill or chase off anything bothering you easily, and can just bring dung to get them to run off. Just fish for the red and yellow eel like fish, cast a line, wait for the rumble, press A, repeat. Can watch a video or TV show while also getting resources in game.

Using Evade Extender makes your hops after a wirebug jump go much farther (pressing B after a wirebug jump, the flip move thing). Specifically, using EE3 makes you go CRAZY far.

You should always do the wirebug hang between your wirebugs you get extra distance and speed per charge. If you learn to do this right you can even beat Palamutes in a straight line with 3 bugs. It is most definitely faster than just doing the air roll on its own if you get the hang swing timing right. Also remember you don't need a wirebug charge to wall climb, you can just hit the wirebug input and your character will do a small jump and latch on regardless of having a bug or not.

Which means Gaijin saw 3 nodes, thought he can do it better, mapped out a route, filmed it, edited it, and put it on YT in 24 hours... Besides, nobody is claiming Gaijin was the first to think of mining ore for money. It's just that the routes are identical except for one node. Just so you know you can still "use" the wire bug when you are out of wirebugs to go up a wall if you're really close you'll just do a lil jump using the zL + zR input. And just run up. Instead of standing still and waiting for a refresh. Also if you are a glaive user you can just pull it out when you are jumping use zR + B go in the air, dash with B, zL + X, then B to dash again. Rinse and repeat you might get a bit more distance.

So, just a tip for those with some time to burn. Check the surge that the map changes to in the quest info tab when your local updates! You can switch from local items, to mining nodes, and back again if you are lucky. I JUST had a run where it started as local items, then switched to mining nodes for zenny, then back to local items, before switching to mining ore AGAIN, and finally switching to honey. In this 1 run I got 1.5 Million Zenny and 98k kamura points. It wasn't a short run but it was by far the most effective run I've ever had.

In the secret room where you find the Hellbill, there are two more ore deposits. Heading over to where the K.points are you can climb up to a ledge then turn around and one is a wirebug away. Heading to the right from that spot and climb a wall, that will lead you to another one. You then would be looking towards the small lavafall where the Hellbill moves to.

Hollow even if the wirebugs are recharging you actually can still climb up the wall if you press ZR+X. It will trigger the animation and of you stand close enough to the wall the hunter will still run up the wall

I've seen nobody utilizing the mobility of the Glaive during these mining runs. Maybe someone can correct me, but it certainly FEELS like it makes a difference. You get the Glaive double jump animation (I do believe it is slightly faster and covers more aerial distance) during each Wirebug. Before any situation where I see you taking your initial leap off the ground, I do a Glaive vault -> Double Jump (DJ) -> Wirebug, wait as long as possible before being forced to use DJ before touching ground -> Wirebug -> Repeat. Another thing I've noticed with the Glaive Switch Skill I'm using for the Wirebug movement: the vertical distance gained from the Glaive Wirebug jump is significantly higher, allowing more air time; which translates to less time being slowed down by grounded movement mechanics

The best way to cycle through days imo is by doig the arena rajang quest, don't take the bird, you die in two hits. You consistently fail the quest under 30s. And you don't have the success animation and success screens.

another great advice for Kamura Points is fishing in High rank and getting Golden Fish or platinum fish in the shrine ruins or my personal favorite is fishing the the Frost Islands in area 11 and getting the small king or supreme Brocadefish and sit there a rack up points. I Personally did it for a full hour and was sitting on 400,000 Kamura points.

If you're taking your sweet time and don't have Lava Caverns unlocked in High Rank (for whatever your personal reasons may be), this works in other Locals. Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands are about 180,000 zenny per Upsurge. Not as good as 300,000-400,000 Zenny, but it's still very good all things considered.

Use full Kamura S set , craft 3 geology,, 4 botany, and 3 evade extend. Equip a 3 slot weapon and 1 slot talisman or both with 2 slots and at least 1 level 2 on both. I lucked out that I got an upsurge pattern of mining outcrop-> local items -> mining outcrop-> local items in one run. Netted me around 120k kamura points and almost 850-900k zenny. Took me almost half an hour but the rewards were worth it. But I want to suggest a route for the point run which capitalizes on fossils and bismuth ores which even on a low roll is higher than coals IMHO. Start at sub camp 2, get the bismuth on the bottom of the bridge, run to the end of region 6, get the fossil skull near the ledge on the leftmost part of the map, run to the opposite end, near the spiribird grass patches is another bismuth ore by the wall. From there drop down onto the cavern and there will be two fossil skulls and one bismuth ore in that area. Fast travel to sub camp 1 and mine the bismuth ore in front, dont ride the palamute but just slide all the way down to region 13 to mine the last bismuth, then head on back and you can also mine the volatile ore there which usually gives a middle roll. Then repeat sub camp 2 until the upsurge changes. In this run, even with palamute or no palamute I always chance upon the refreshed spot with little wait time. Hope this helps.

It might be faster to start the run at sub camp 1, gather the points there and then slide down the mountain to area 5 and follow the normal route from there then port to sub camp 2. rinse and repeat. i didn't test it with a stopwatch but to me personally it feels much better than starting at the main camp and suffering that beginning part w/o anything to gather.

You can wall run even when your wirebugs run out by geting uo close to the wall and do the same thing as if you still have wirebugs. It only saves a few seconds when you didn't quite make the jump, but those seconds can be critical with these runs

Fastest way to cycle through quests is to do the 1 faint rajang arena quest. Pick the HBG jump down get 2 hit. Quest is over in sub 20 seconds

kamura chest for wirebug whisper 2 and the final 1 with a easy talisman, leather headgear gloves and pants for geologist 3 and chainmail waist for botany 1 and slot 3 botany decorations really cheap.
