There are many difference between damped oscillation and resonance. Resonance frequency is the natural frequency of an oscillating object which used to make undamped oscillation. Example Swing.

I think he didn't have suitable crystal at the time, so he just showed the principal. As far as I know available 2 terminal oscillators are up to 48Mhz. Usually 24 or 48Mhz crystals are used as they have harmonics on 96Mhz (FM band). Unfortunately this was not said on a video and might confuse someone. Also you have to deal with harmonics and signal on main oscillator frequency.

Hello, I love the projects you make. I wanted to make a small communication device with cheap parts. I want to use a correction tape as the casing for this communication device. The way it should work is when I press the button on my correction tape, the buzzer on the other one rings. When he presses the button, the buzzer rings on mine.
