The correct formula is , (weight of silver) x (7.5/92.5) = weight of copper Or (weight of silver) x 0.081081081081081= weight of copper needed to make .925 sterling Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s not as simple as multiplying .075 x weight of silver= weight of copper If you had a block of sterling silver , to find the amount of copper in the sterling block, we would multiply .075 x the weight of sterling silver block. That would indicate the amount of copper in the block.

You can use 1 bernzomatic plumbers torch but can only do 5 to 10 grams , or 2 torch to melt 12 to 22 grams. Grain silver copper shots or think sheets are easier to melt than coin round or bars. Use a smaller 2 oz ceramic bowl . make sure its enclose with ventilation with no wind or fan direct to 🔥.

Silver alone or copper are harder to melt , both at the same time melt easier as a alloy 925/92.5% up to 930 950 or finer 980 . mix wild melting with a C or AA battery carbon graphite rod or buy one . use Walmart 20 mule Borax powder detergent $4.99 its the same all jeweller use.
