I love these, a real pleasure to watch being built. Can I offer some constructive feedback. On your 3 view plans, the general arrangement (GA) drawings, you only used the side view and top view. This only gives you 2/3rds of the aircraft’s shape and form. Consider using the front view too, as this would have shown that the fuselage is round in cross-section, not square with rounded corners. This then had an affect on the canopy shape too. Also, on the F-104, the wings canter downwards, they are not level. The front view would have aided in these details. I say this as I make the GA drawings for a living and detail and accuracy are everything. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next build.

Come on now. I'm sure this wasn't being made to test in a wind tunnel. Give the modeler the credit due for the effort and not spend time nit-picking. He made it look easy, and anyone building from scratch knows it's hard as hell.

Unfortunately, the F 104 is remembered in Germany as a widowmaker. The Germans gave this aircraft too many tasks that it was not designed for. As a pure fair-weather fighter, it was safe and good.

The wings on the F-104 were very sharp at the front and rear edges. The edges required special covers to protect ground crew while they worked on and around the fighter.

Is there any way you would consider making a larger plane from these sticks ? Something like a World War 2 bomber, such as a Boeing B29 Superfortress, or a Lancaster Bomber, or even a Heinkel HEIII. Using the same scale you are using for this one which I think is 1/72 nd scale.

Yes - or tent peg (Erdnagel). I lived close to an old airfield where F-104 used to be in service. When I moved there, my landlord told me where in the neighborhood families lived, lost their husband or father in one of these machines. They were simply manned rockets intended to carry atomic missiles into Warsaw Pact bomber squadrons.
