These work well and you can make the burner any size you like.

When myfordBoy is cold he pulls out all the stops to get warm Lol Great little project though and will make one to but I will mill from a solid block though, because im not that energetic.

Great design. I think the soldering board you used also known as a direct flow liquid metal filters during casting iron. It probably can withstand ~1300 oC. There is also another filter which is not direct flow as this.

making the box is super creative, i would likely have tried bending it, but i can already see so much going wrong with that approach, learned something :)

I have made these before bending brass sheet into a U shape and silver soldering the ends on. Also round ones are easy using tube with the bottom soldered on

Would you supply drawings for the cylinder and burner after you have finished the series as you have for your traction engine. Chris

If there is enough interest I can draw plans for the engine. The burner is the same as used in my Traction engine so I can let you have 2 sheets from the plan set if you would like to make a burner.
