Understandable, though dabbling in film editing myself I'm rather questioning " Isn't Podcasting based on solely Audio ? " What is the purpose for everything else aside from using as sound effects. Visual needs ?

I'm pretty much binge watching your whole channel right now and want to thank you for being as real as you are - not as over the top as most people think you'd need to be on KZbin. I really appreciate your minimalism, and the way you tell your stories. Effecient, simple, true. Also I'd enjoy to see more stuff about filmmaking, although I find the whole topic around minimalism interesting.

The music you picked for your quick and dirty intro is the same track I picked for a little client promo I shot a year or so ago! So true about spending hours looking for the right track; I'm getting to the point where I can tell in the first second or so if it's what I'm looking for. I really like the music you've settled on for these videos! Solid tips!

Your podcast is honestly my favorite. I watch/listen every episode! The video clip for Rich Roll's podcast was what first got my attention, and I think it's little things like that and your main intro that really make it stand out. So cool to see what went into it! You also exhibited how to do a great outro ie. Be hilarious 😅

Great video. Music is important. I’m actually a production music composer that’s watching this to make videos to help showcase my music! I compose custom music of almost any genre, but am looking to make myself available to podcasters and you tubers that want custom music. I realized I’m handicapped by not having “show reels” for my compositions, so watching your channel has been quite helpful. Thanks for the info. It was simple and easy to understand and if you ever need custom cues, please feel free to reach out!

Ha yeah. I got it back when I did commercial work and could justify the investment. Now I use it to make KZbin videos 🤦. I'd suggest following your interests. I've always been fascinated with people's story's & the struggle to make things happen. So my work naturally went in that direction.

Thanks for the inspiration - my podcast has been going on for so long but now I want to take it to the next level alongside my KZbin channel and begin with an Episode 0 that resets my podcast (not deleting the old stuff) but starting with a fresh new look. I'll make it both audio and video in a sense - primarily it will be audio, but some of my fans like to listen to it on KZbin, so I might film myself with a webcam recording the podcast for those who want a visual aid - that would give me a solid reason to film a cool intro - like the stuff on tight shots as well, I just upgraded my camera with a Sigma 18-35mm lens with bokeh - i could do some great board game shots and get some B-roll footage...........

Always love your content, Matt! I would only take issue with the comment 30 seconds in, regarding being told “it wasn’t too late to get into the game”, and you feeling “the ship had sailed”. Audio podcasts, and even video podcasts have been around for over 15 years, just take the TWIT network as an example. “Podcasting” has recently become the next “bandwagon” to be on, but in reality, it wasn’t much appreciated by the majority in the past.
