I made this game a few years ago and my kids loved it. I made the game pieces with dowels and magnets and I never really liked how they functioned and always wanted to figure something else out. 3d printer was a great idea! I couldn’t find those spare parts anywhere!
@GetHandsDirty5 жыл бұрын
Hey Tamar! You can probably find the spare kit online now. Or you can print them and get some strong but small magnets. These ones had 1.5kg force having 7mm in diameter to fit inside the cilindrical walls I made. so you probably need 2.5kg or even over...

Klask is one of my favourite games! I already own the game, so I don't need to make it... BUT I had this dream of adding a clear barrier around the edges to keep the magnets from flying off, almost like the glass around a hockey rink. Wonder how difficult that would be to do. The other Idea I had was to add adjustable legs so you could make sure the game was level on any surface.

Am in the planning stage to build this but without a CNC. Overall measurements are fine, but I would appreciate some specific ones for the game - size of ball; diameter of hole; depth of hole and distance from edge of hole to end of playing surface. Google has let me down on those. Thanks.

We are cool with this and love to see people getting inspired and building something nice for themselves. However, it's good to keep in mind that KLASK is a registered trademark with design protection and we would have a problem if someone is taking advantage of our IP or design for commercial purposes.
@arianed29085 жыл бұрын
@@KLASKgame Of course I completely agree. Everything is alright. I wouldn't believe Cris from Get Hands Dirty would steal her registered patent to do business. She is too honest and serious to do such a thing. So I immediately thought I was fine with you and then confirmed in your comment on her Instagram. I just commented because whoever says she stole doesn't even know if she contacted you and if you allowed her to do the game.

@@KLASKgame, so where does it end? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioKpaXyhq86lmLM. The link is to a vid that basically says "their" product is not worth what "they" charge and here are the plans to make it for yourself. Undervaluing the original effort required to come up with the product in the first place and giving designs that belong to others away for free. I've been a designer for 40 years. Technology has helped people easily replicate products at home that once upon a time we would have had to buy. There is a cheaper chinese version of literally every product ever designed. So what's the value of design in your view? Cris is a hugely talented designer, creator and maker. Her skill and patience are immense. This vid has the wrong message.
