I'm American and my friend and I somehow got into a bit of a tea addiction and so every morning before school we make a cup of chai tea together in the school's microwave haha. Honestly I wish I got into it earlier, and now my friend has an entire cupboard dedicated to tea. Like... I need more than all of my fingers to count them. I even got these cute little brown sugar cubes to put in the tea haha. I used to find it funny how obsessed with and picky over British people are with tea but I gotta say- it's pretty fun. Even though I do TERRIBLY with caffeine, it is worth shaking violently for a few hours for that delicious cup of chai.

@@mayling141 Putting milk first is considered gauche. To be honest it's not such an etiquette thing these days and is a bit Downton Abbey. Really nowadays people just do what they want lol. As long as we end up with a nice cuppa we Brits are happy.
@mayling1413 жыл бұрын
@@ticketyboo2456 - I don't agree with you on that as it's considered to be "Gauche" to put milk on tea first. For Posh Polite British Society, their etiquette is Milk must be poured first before a hot brewed filtered tea. But that is a posh thing to do because they never use tea bags, they have hot (100 degrees C) water run through the loose tea leaves that are placed on a strainer and have it sit for a couple of minutes before taking it out. That was the way I was thought when I went to London and had the Etiquette lessons in order for me to enter Society. Anyhow, we are talking about a teabag being dumped in a mug so therefore milk is okay to be poured into the brewed tea drink. The funny thing is, I don't even put milk in my tea so this really doesn't matter. 😂
