UPDATE: This project tends to only work with the 5V 16mHz Arduino Pro Mini board (I used the 5V 16mHz Pro mini in the video under the assumtion that the 3.3V would also work for others, but apparently doesn't) - there hasn't been much success with the 3.3V 8mHz version showing up in MultiWii. If you experience issues opening MultiWii on your Windows 10 or higher PC, it's because you do not have Java installed which MultiWii runs on. You're going to need to install Java 8u202 or earlier and edit your windows "path" data to point to that build, in order to use the MultiWiiConfig. This really shows how far drones have come, not only in consumer drones, but also the building process for fpv drones. The ability to solder components to a aio board, screw them to a frame, and spend 20 minutes in betaflight to create a whoop seems so easy compared to what it actually takes to build from scratch. Unbelievable work. Also I love how close it is in looks and design to a 5in, even including the wide frame and top mounted battery

Regarding the resetting issue: In my experience, it is often the case that one suspects power line coupling, but in fact it's RF coupling through air to the reset pin. I would consider strengthening the pullup resistor on the reset pin. Also, on a slightly unrelated note - some Arduino clones have really bad regulators - such as AMS1117, which has horrible PSRR. This particular Arduino does not use AMS1117, but there might be similar issue.
@MaxImagination25 күн бұрын
Thanks for your added insights. Adding a stronger RST pull-up may fix this resetting issue for many - so it's the RF and not EMI that's causing it...

The great thing about arduino is that you only really need the chip itself. It doesn’t really need many passive components. You could order a custom PCB with all the required components and a solid copper layer at the bottom as a ground plane, acting as a built-in shield. You can make the main board as thin and light as you want, even flexible! Give it a try.
@AVI-xo1kb9 ай бұрын
but that again raises the difficulty of diy, he prolly wanted to make it simple so that anyone can try.
@PunakiviAddikti9 ай бұрын
@@AVI-xo1kb You'd think that, but designing your own PCB is easy to learn. Your computer does all the heavy lifting and if you wish, you can try autorouting. That means the software connects everything for you. Then just upload all the files and order your new PCB's for cheap, and I mean cheap. Depending on the size and complexity, you can get 10 PCBs for as cheap as 5 bucks. But there is a caveat. Soldering SMD chip packages can be very challenging. You can also order complete PCB's but that'll cost you parts+extra.
@AVI-xo1kb9 ай бұрын
@@PunakiviAddikti that is the point IK pcb designing is easy you can do it yourself after a bunch of tutorials as I am learning pcb designing but pcb isn't as cheap as you think depending on the location it will raise the project cost significantly for example at my location if I do this project the cost of pcb simply outweighs the pros and joy of doing this project and again if you are near fab it's cheap but if you are far away then you will notice the difference

Making it modular allows for others to recreate the drone with more ease. Using PCBs cuts out most makers already, especially those who are beginners or who won't bother ordering an additional PCB alongside the components.

you can not even imagine how much you helped me by creating this video butt it would be veryyyyy veryyyyyyyyyyy helpful if you made the motor driver part a little bit more clear with better instructions........ or just made a dedicated pcb for the motor driver that we could order from online such as from JLC PCB or PCB WAY...... that would have been veryyy veryy helpful as making the motor driver by hand would be veryy challenging and difficult for someone like me........ and also the fpv camera that you gave link to says it is unavailable and I can not find it from any other website that is available in my region.......Can you pleasee give me some suggesion on what I can do ?? and again THANK YOU VERYY MUCHHH....... veryyy good content......keep going.....I am always with you....

Thanks for your feedback and support!. To further help someone like you, I may include some close-up images of the motor driver in the project files folder soon. Keep your eyes peeled for that. Also, keep in mind that there's a circuit diagram showing how the motor driver is wired, making it easier to follow along to the tutorial. The FPV camera I ordered for this project is currently out of stock, I'm not in control of that. Maybe give it some time and the sellers may restock it. I may also look for a suitable alternative out there to link. Cheers!

The level of simplicity you added to creating a custom drone is amazing👏👏👏,I have worked with Pixhawk & Betaflight flight controller ,i know the pain and knowledge it requires to just get the drone in air.This is the best starting point for People to enter drone industry

Thanks for your kind remarks! Yes, getting such drone off the ground is no easy feat especially when done the first time like myself. Hopefully, my resources and guidance gives others new to building drones a good start. Cheers!

How much this is adding up in total ? If i have to buy all the part + the equipement to build it ?
@Mineralmining-q9m6 ай бұрын
@@outmohamed9184 ya I want to build it
@MaxImagination6 ай бұрын
That would be hard to estimate, so I suggest you see for yourself when you add all the supplies, tools and other equipment to your cart. However, I can say that the drone once built contains $50 worth of parts and with the goggles + transmitter, a total of $150-200 USD. Cheers!

Buying one is better. 3D printers are a complex matter and are getting cheaper anyway...

Bhai please make something easier and more crazier and cheap
@MaxImagination9 ай бұрын
This is as easy while cheap as it can get. To make it easier to assemble, use a PCB with tinier (SMD) components. However, it may not be cheap.

Bro have you ever though about making a tutorial about solding all kinds of components ? like those tiny resistors and diodes ?

Hi! I've thought of making an electronics course that covers that, I could teach it. Coming one day, Cheers.
