Tell us more about the experience. Can you really immerse yourself in it? Do you feel like you're actually inside the car? Does the delay in movement get in the way? This project is very interesting. I had thought that something like this was missing for a long time.
@MaxImagination5 күн бұрын
It can take a moment to get used to when first driving it with an RC car especially, it helps having the fisheye lens to see the front of the car as a point of reference. It truly seems like you're in the vehicle when controlling it. It gives you lots more freedom to observe what you want to when driving, just like you would from inside an actual car or plane. I recommend building this project, it will be fun! 👍🏻🙂

With the MPU6050, how do you correct the calibration of the sensor with the headpiece? Since it doesn't have absolute positioning, wouldn't it be susceptible to gradually losing calibration as you operate it with the head mount?
@MaxImagination4 күн бұрын
As shown in the video, I correct the calibration by moving the head tracking unit (with headset) to my desired viewing position and press the Arduino's reset button to recalibrate.

#AWESOME ... i build almost the exactely same thingy back in 2012, was very fun and entertaining. I too connected an arduino in my FPV-Headset (fatshark) via a seperate 866Mhz rxtx module to an other arduino receiving it with similar module in my graupener mc-12 tx. on the fatshark it was simply using magnetometer and accellerometer readings to get pan/tilt (with "reset" button to put head in arbitrary and comfortable direction and reset to 0,0 pan,tilt degrees in that viewing. it was very easy to use. but on graupner-mc12 side i had to read all PPM channels on the arduino, too and advance it with 2 addition artificial channels the receiver transfered into realtime pan and tilt servo motions. so same thing, just 12 years ago. cool to see anybody doing the same and not letting it off to the big XYZ companie(s).

Hey Max, love your videos. Is it possible you can make a video on a 3d printed, or homemade brushless motor with 2 terminal wires?? I see people doing it online with a 4 pin hall sensor. They skip the need for a brushless controller, so much simpler. 🙂
@MaxImagination8 күн бұрын
Hey and thanks! I'll keep your idea in mind. Most brushless motors use 3 wires since they are driven with 3 phases unlike regular brushed DC motors. To make them 2 wired, you'd literally need a controller built into one. That is not practical, in my opinion. If you can refer me (send a link) to the type of motor you're explaining, that would be much appreciated to help me better understand. Cheers!

Is the NRF24L01 transceiver technically a ESP-NOW Board? Why choose this board? Thanks!
@MaxImagination8 күн бұрын
It technically a Radio module that operates on one of its 125 available channels. I have not heard of this being used as an ESP-NOW, unless the components in an NRF are used in an ESP32 chip, which I assume some are for the 2.4G. I chose this board for its simplicity and cost. It does the job, so why not use it :)

@@miauwrits Yes, i think look up "arduino servo shield" like the "pca9685". You can even drive the servos direct from the board, just need a buck or boost converter then supply about 5v at 2 amps or more from the battery (i think) so the arduino doesn't "brown out"
