Great guy or gal scarf depending on the print. I really love what Rena Burns and her daughter do. I think making some scarves out of the cuddle fabric for homeless people in my area for the winter would be wonderful since they are fairly quick and easy to make. And I really love your tube turning method. I have used that technique on some very small tubes that I made and it worked out great! So glad I saw that in one of you other tutorials. It has saved me a lot of aggravation. Thanks!

Hi Rob- What a GREAT gift idea! Love that you can make it with just 3/4 yard of Cuddle fabric! The Swiss Dot Black and White looks so nice on you too. Thanks for another easy quick tutorial.

I love this tutorial. It has given me some Ideas for projects to make this summer for the upcoming winter. I don't do a lot of outdoor activities in the winter. I love to quilt during the cold time of the year and stay indoors.

Our quilt guild donates a bundle of useful things around the holidays. So I plan on making these in different lengths/colors to donate. The longer scarves can also be used in place of a hat.

Rob, Another great tutorial and " great minds think a lot" I say as a few years ago I made scarfs for my sister's family using fleece with each of their Football teams and they loved them. Of course I didn't make them that long being we don't get much snow in middle Tn. Anyways, was trying to think of something to make for other members or friends and you helped remind me!! Thank you soooo much!! I love and look forward to yours and Jenny's tutorials every week!! Great job!!

Have you been up to Whistler Canada, Rob? Spent Thanksgiving up there - s now, snow and snow! Your scarf would've been a toasty addition to the cold weather in that neck of the woods. If you haven't been you need to pay a visit.

I make something very similar for the food bank in Washington, DC to give away. Many of them go to children so I think that 120 inch long scarves might be too long. I can make a few long ones to include for the adults. I wait until the fabric is on sale or I have coupons. It makes my money go farther. I use my serger for the inside seam - fast sewing or is it caffeinated sewing? I do make some scissor-cut fringe on some. Cute tricks for turning and finishing. Thanks

Hi Rob, thank you for the video, they're all great. Is there something I could add in between the Cuddle layers to bulk it up a bit? It's getting cold up here in the Northeast.
@ManSewingVids8 жыл бұрын
You could add a featherweight batting for a little extra warms. It will make the scarf a little stiffer, but not too bad.
@janetmcadamsbailey18746 жыл бұрын
Steve, how thick is your existing scarf.......cannot imagine adding to it and I live in the Colorado Rockies and all scarfs are like this (as far as weight).

FYI those little tidbits are called "dog ears"; you would have less issues with the thickness and possible shifting of fabric if you used your walking foot; and you could create it as long cowl and then you just wrap around your neck, which would keep it from coming undone.
@janetmcadamsbailey18747 жыл бұрын
lol lol lol Oh Rob, So many good meaning woman and advise.............I know you have made cowl in anther tutorial with the woolie sqs I think it........... I love this long size.....my sons are 6'2" and 6'4" tall lean guys, they would and will love the longer version ...thank you

It's super soft and plush fabric (Similar to minky if you've ever heard of that). Cuddle is made by Shannon Fabrics. I hope this helps!
