Well done. I get how they work, but I'm so used to legs holding things up from underneath and ropes or chains holding things from above that it still looks impossible. Excellent skills and craftsmanship.

Thats why it's impossible haha

THANK YOU for actually INCLUDING the dimensions, AND the angles. I made a popsicle stick version from another video, but since it didn't include the angle cut on the vertical sticks, I had to trim down the angled cuts multiple times from 45° until I finally reached the right one. 😒
4 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad that you like it, actually the angle for the vertical sticks I used is 22.5 instead of 31.5, thank you for that!

@ Omg! Thank you for clarifying so quickly.🙂 I want to try to build it with my 8 yr old nephew...but unfortunately, once we need to troubleshoot a project, he immediately loses interest. With your clarification...we may actually be able to finish this one!!! Thank you so much!

It's called Tensegrity principle which is based on a system of isolated components under compression inside a network of continue tension

Nice work! This looks very cool! I also made one, but there is no rope in the middle, "anti-gravity" succeeded!

Very nice tutorial. I wanna give this a try. Question though......the center link of chain appears to be twisted while the outer links do not appear twisted. Am I seeing this or is this an illusion? If it is twisted, why?
4 жыл бұрын
Well, It came out after some adjustment and I wanted a little bit more tension on the outside chains, thank you for yoyr comment!

How in the world are the outer chains not falling due to gravity
@pumajlr4 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? Why would they fall? they are attached to both sides. In fact they are tense, making force, attracting the top and the bottom of the table.. if you tense one of them, it pulls from the other two.
