The backstory actually sounds like Maxwell and his dad from Freak the Mighty. Literally, I read it in 5th grade. About the same things happened in the story, how Kenneth Kane (his dad) killed Ann (the mom), how Kenneth kidnapped Maxwell, etc. Grateful that it wasn’t a sicko relationship.😮‍💨

It ain't pedophillia, don't worry. It's a father who killed his wife because she was hurting Cleo (the son) like slapping, as well as verbal abuse. Alli (the father) is obsessed with his child/loves him so much, so he didn't want his wife to hurt their son like that anymore and killed his wife. He went to prison but escaped, wanted to be with his son, so he kidnapped him 'cause he was on the run. I made my own version of this. Their relativly the same age, opposite genders. The kidnapper (f, name Cleo) has long blonde hair, victim, (m, name Ali) has long black hair.
