Michael, thank you for all that you do. I just wanted to take a moment to say I love you and your music. Your passion for the music always comes through and you have always entertained me, even when you do these instructive videos. Through your channel, I have met Piano Angelicus and One Hand Piano Man. They, along with you, present such beautiful music that make a person glad to be alive. To be performers, such as yourself, you love music and presenting your interpretations to others. I want you to know that I appreciate every moment that you have spent throughout your career which eventually brought us here. Musicians are special people and I am pleased to think of the Three Musketeers Of The Piano as my friends. A Million thanks for all of your talents which you share with us. I have said it before, you don't just play the music, you become the music.

they sound very good indeed. I feel CFX sound is confident and Kawai SK-EX is sweet. The Ravenscroft 275 is not bad either, especially the bass

Hi, please It could be interesting to know how to amplify a digital piano for stage use, I mean like jazz clubs. Amp? Band system ?

It would be cool if you could show what the cheap piano sounded like before compared to with the VST

I have that M Audio keyboard, it is a midi controller and as such has no onboard sounds (and no speaker or headphone output). It is designed to be plugged into a computer via a USB cable and play computer VSTs.

Hello. Some time ago I watched this video and bought a Kawai VPC1, used but in very good condition. Of course, I also bought Noire and I actually think it's fantastic. Are you still using it? I have a question: when playing on Kawai, do you set the standard curve in Noire?

Hello Michael - wonderful demonstration. I have a quick question for you. What preset or settings are you using at the top of your video for the initial presentation, where you are playing both keyboards? I previously had a Nord Stage 3 - and I am attempting to come as close to their Royal Grand 3 binaural sound as possible. I currently have multiple VST's including the Vienna Yamaha CFX, Ivory 2 and True Keys American Grand (Steinway) and cannot get them to sound right. Some of this is due to my newness to VST's. Nord used a Yamaha C6 as I understand it for their Royal Grand 3. Any info you could provide would be most appreciated. Regards, Anthony

Good but I had a modular synth module that could emulate a Bosendofer grand piano to a huge pipe organ in a small package called a polyphonic sampling synth. good luck finding something like that today

What about the lag? I wanna enjoy the VST while playing, I tried some other VSTs using MIDI cable and it produced lag of around 0.3s which is too much and makes thing complicated in live results

Sounds great , but for a good pianist like yourself, isnt the feel of the keys more important ? Probably some of these instruments will have that... but can you compare it to your mp11se? I meanwhile own beside my mp11se, also the es 520 and the yamaha p515... the " touch" of each instrument is different and thats what I like....beside it looks so ackward needing a laptop or desktop for your instrument. Thanks for the vid! Sure was some new info for me!

Frankly, the best piano VST ever made is any one of the Synchron Pianos. They are the most in depth sampled instruments ever made and are going to outperform Noire in every way, I know it for a fact because even the Yamaha CFX VSt by Garritan out performs it by a LONG shot.

Hi Michael,thanks for sharing this,i am new to VSTs and i have use my Yamaha P85 digital piano as my controller for my VST,i have moved to a smaller place and i cannot use my P85 anymore,now my question is,does a controller make a difference on the sound of VST?My Yamaha P85 sounds great on VST,if i buy a 61 keys non weighted midi controller,will the sound quality change?or it will be the same?thanks

Does it play with the speakers on my digital piano? If not how can I make it happen. I don't want to plug a computer every time I play. Anyone please help.
@Thairpiano Жыл бұрын
I am probably asking a silly question here since I am a newbie in the world of VST so I would appreciate your answer: is it possible to get the VST sound through the digital keyboard's speakers when you are playing? I do know how to save a midi file and use VST to merge it with a performance video and thus produce a good videoclip. But if my laptop is connected to the istrument could I completely replace its sound with a VST on the go and enjoy the VST while practicing for example?
@pardonmypiano Жыл бұрын
yes you can enjoy the VST while practicing! But for that you'll need to connect the speakers directly to your PC. For that you might need an audio interface. So you get the midi input into your PC, then with a USB cable or thunderbolt you connect your audio interface, then using quarter inch speakers or XLR straight into your speakers (or simply the 3.5 jack depending what speakers you have)

So does it sound like when I’m not recording? Or does only the recording sound that good im confused. I am not sure how to even set it up do I need extra equipment?
@johnforster19632 жыл бұрын
so would you midi this to your kawai mp11 and use the NOIRE piano" sounds etc instead of the mp11 sounds and equaliser etc
@pardonmypiano2 жыл бұрын
It depends! Kawai MP11 doesn't have a particle engine for example that reacts to the player. So if I want to create a cinematic sound, I'd use this piano plugin from Noire. It gives me more freedom of choice 😁

Hi I love your videos! I just bought a Kawai MP11se based on your videos and I love it so much. I am interested in entering the world of VSTs and I wonder whether or not I am in the right ballpark with my sound. I purchased a set of presonus e8 xts and wondering if they are suitable for very good piano sound. Also is NOIRE significantly better than the MP11se SK sample would you say? Because I think it already sounds very nice

Can you achieve a similar sound with a good pair of studio monitors?
@obriantomlinson27769 ай бұрын
I would think so…aside from action , I think studio monitors are also one of the most important things…. The Yamaha HS8’s or the HS80 are fantastic speakers that you would need…

Hi, I may be wrong but a "warm, evocative intimate timbre as opposed to a bright color sound" is usually associated with Bosendorfer, Grotrian Concertino, Schimmel but rarely with Yamaha/Steinway which usually have more balanced good all-around tones or on the brighter side. If you know any VST that sounds close to this delicious singing piano tone kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWGvfKSMfNmcY8k (which I doubt any VST will come ever close but I may be wrong), let me know and I will buy it from your referral link with pleasure. Thanks... update I stumbled upon Vienna Synchron Bösendorfer Imperial, your thoughts?

The Yamaha CFX that is recorded is a modified one that is a bit darker than normal. It's the personal piano of a musician that's known for modifying g instruments to get interesting sounds.

You keep saying not complicated, not complicated but everything you say and do with the software looks and sounds complicated. Lol! Particles engine?? Diffusion?? Sounds great by the way, but it seems like this software is better utilized by someone heavily experienced in the studio or having used this type of software for a long time. Not really for a beginner or novice.
