Appreciate the video. Your charcoal looks good. However... You are getting around 50% yield. You ever try burning paper/trash/yard debris/construction scraps in stead of split wood?

If you're using natural(untreated) wood (nut shells better) you can crush charcoal, add purified water and lemon juice and bake=activated! ;) ABY BFH❤

Awesome. Now pray I can find some barrels. Where did you get yours. I keep searching craigslist and Facebook marketplace. Where did you find yours? Thanks love the video. Did you only used hardwoods and would you use any pine or cedar or too oily? I have to get a burn permit too I guess. 🙂 We have extra wood plus I always wanted to have a burn barrel anyway. We had one as a kid. Plus it would be fun if my neighbors don't be jerks, they're always burning when I want to open windows.

You can use them MANY times... I used my last one at least 50+ before it rusted through
