Great recipe sis, I have a question, I’m making a aloe Vera serum/or facial oil and I’m mixing it with essential oils as well as vegetable glycerin. Should I blend the oils and glycerin by themselves first, before combining it with the aloe Vera gel? And how much aloe Vera do you recommend I use? I want to do a testing amount. I’m having trouble calculating and weighing my ingredients.

Thanks so much . You will want to combine all your oils first and then combine your liquid water based products next then mix them all together similar to oil and water phase . Aloe Vera amount depends on what you are wanting honestly . You can start out with 5-10% of your recipe amount and see how it blends with your total recipe . Hope this helps .

Usually lotions and creams are made with this process and involve water . With a water based thick hair butter the process is usually the same but ingredients may differ slightly .

It’s a very rich deep moisturizing lotion that’s great for all skin types . It hydrates the skin and good for flaky skin .It’s good for dry and irritated skin. I always recommend testing out a product first in a small area of your skin to make sure you are not allergic to it . For the face it might be a bit too heavy . This is better for your body .
