This would actually be more a type of crossbow than a slingshot. Same method of stored energy, just using rubber instead of a bow string. Love how you did this!!! Simple, elegant, and above all? Effective! Now this is how true weapons making is achieved. "When in doubt? Make something that makes an opponent either think twice, or realize they are about to have a very bad day".

I loved watching the excellent craftmanship in making this toy but I believe making a shotgun cane with a shotgun barrel would have been more fun to build. Make this your project for next time. I know you know how to build one from your craftsmanship on this toy gun.

I’d also consider using two part epoxy resin instead of super glue, is excessively strong! Want to look for epoxy with highest psi strength

I wonder if wood glue and epoxy wouldn't be better adhesives than super glue as wood absorbs most of it anyway. Concider using baking soda or just bicarbonate (also used in baking) with cyanacrylate/super glue as filler instead of sand/gravel did when filling out details or in visible spots, as it creates a really good surface that is easily sanded and painted. It also speeds up the drying time. As a modeller, I use it all the time.
