This is a song I wrote about falling deeply in love. It's no secret that modern music has become almost completely commodified, as well as what's left of the mass media outlets and their reach (which is noticeably smaller than ever before). As a result we have been separated from ourselves, from our communities, and we have been made to feel that we are alone. But what I am seeing is that most of us are on the same page, and I am seeing that you all still love true art. Boundless art, art that breaks rules and transcends algorithms. I hope this project can encourage other artists to be themselves, and to follow their heart no matter what. Down with the machine! Free the Ghost!

And now, some of her masterpieces are in my head, just like music from throughout my life...those tunes you can't get out of your head at times- a great thing when it's great music. And back to melodies and musical hooks- every song seems like a musical hook in its entirety. And JACKIE, I Consider that a musical gift was bestowed on you from the higher authority. I go on to much at times...but I have with any musical great starting n the sixties. I need to stop myself now because the more I say, the more I think, but not always that well.

My sister is a very talented bassist… I would definitely say almost as good as Stanley Clarke right before Easter 2023 she wound up in a hospital… In hospice care, she was so ill and they did not think she was going to make it. She was down to about 90 pounds and I was preparing for the worst. I never gave up on her I prayed for her in the best way that I knew keep in mind she was in Washington state and I am on the east coast. I went out to see her, and she barely moved or acknowledged anyone… But I played her favorite music for her, Yes...Pink Floyd...Genesis...Stanley Clarke..... Who were also some of my favorites also, but I also love Jackie Venson music..... And one night before leaving the hospital to head back to the East Coast while playing some of Jackie's music she looked at me and smiled and she mouthed the words "this is good". And then as things were getting better unfortunately her husband passed away while she was in hospice care…… Fast forward from last year to today she is doing much better, she can walk but she needs a walker for now she has regained much of her weight and the first thing she said she wants to do is get back to playing that bass… Basically this is a long winded thank you because seeing you play and hearing that awesome music has given her motivation to pull her self up and try harder to get better. She's going home soon and that's a good thing and every time I hear "make me feel" I'll just be reminded that "I feel good" knowing my sister is doing OK
