The problem with most book pickers I see is they just don't know literature. So they just scan, scan, scan. The vintage books don't have ISBN bar codes, so they miss them. Thats where I WIN. I don't handle many books, but almost all the books I get are vintage. I do a similar game with garage sales. Say I spend $50. I try to get my $50 back on a handful of items, and then mentally, I look at everything else as "free".

How do you determine what sells on Amazon vs EBay?
@goldenstatepicker3 жыл бұрын
I use AMAZON's app to scan only new items that might go FBA and that tells me two things. One am I restricted and Two if it is profitable enough to sell on AMAZON. If it is blocked on AMAZON then I look it up on EBAY to see what it goes for and then possibly sell it on Amazon.
@cheryldavis87763 жыл бұрын
@@goldenstatepicker Restricted? Blocked? All this jargon is way beyond my pay grade! Can you please be a bit more elementary in your explanations and not use terminology that many if us are unfamiliar with? I'd wager that at least some of your newbies don't even know what FBA is, or how it works.

@goldenstatepicker3 жыл бұрын
FBA and occasionally FBM. 99% FBA.
@cheryldavis87763 жыл бұрын
For the green horns among us: FBA (Fullfilled by Amazon) is Amazon's warehousing and fulfillment service that allows sellers to send inventory to an Amazon warehouse and have their orders shipped by Amazon. FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) is a fulfillment method in which the seller takes full responsibility for storing inventory and shipping orders. You're welcome.😁

Start with GOODWILL. They have big plants that work off of all other stores in bigger cities. There they will have auctions for books. It will take some leg work to find them. It will be hard if you are in a small town and away from a big city.

Go to ScoutIQ website. That will explain how that works. I pay $15 to use their app which does all the math etc on what book is good for AMAZON. Some books I only use EBAY for.
