I just want to make sure of something. The mileage quoted on the load board is ONE WAY, correct, so unless you have a load coming back, you need to factor double the miles and double the time into your planning and deciding whether the load is worth it or onot.

I got a message back that they are trying to build business in this area but have nothing at this time. I have a savanna hightop cargo with a vandura 15ft boxed hightop conversion van trailer. Plus a 5x8 inclosed trailer so I can pull 2 separate loads.. in 3 weeks the only response I get is we have nothing in you area . I live 60miles outside my closest major city..that has 25-50 available loads. Per day.. am I wasting my time with this app because I'm willing to take any loads but is my home address the reason why I'm not able to get any gigs? Van is 2000 with a new motor & transmission. Good for at least 150k miles of driving.

Which market is better to get more loads: Los Angeles or Sacramento or the bay area?

No lie, its pros and cons with both.. LA market be extra cracking but to get to pick ups you might have to drive and hour or 2 stuck in traffic but its constantly going out there.. The bay is decent its a little more saturated with drivers so sometimes when you get the opportunity for a load there really aint no playing and negotiation because somebody else will snatch it up quickly.. its a lot to speak on for sure!!

What about just getting a big ass trailer or even renting one as there's no miles attached. As long as your vehicle is under a certain size and doesn't have dual wheels you don't have to do any kind of waystation manifest. I noticed Curri has trailer options. Pain in the ass for driving around in town. You should be able to pull one w your van. But for long halls might make sense. Did you buy a box truck?

Yessir. Not in the box truck but my Cargo van I have, If I'm dropping off to a crew on site I'll have them help if not I'll just use the Dolly call Curri and let them know I had to unload and they usually give me a few extra bucks👌🏾

It just depends on how much your van cost to operate, you would base what you ask for off that.. its different for everyone.. cargo vans are known to get .90 to 1.50 for long runs.. and 3 to 4 dollars in town..
