they seem to not just walk within range, but magically teleport within range sometimes. they'll get stuck outside fences or end up in very strange places and sometimes get stuck. the only reliable method is to park them and set to zero, or expect them to be like teenagers and now and then they'll disappear and make you crazy. just use the summoning staff to bring the fools back where you need them

Yeah, they'll need more tweaking. It's gotta be tricky when every world is different.
