I always use a separate camera (or phone) to film myself and then edit it together. However, OBS can use your macbook cam and mic. I just haven't messed with it to be able to tell you how. I'm sure there are videos on it on KZbin!

For short clips like these you're usually ok. I have a lot of videos about fair use on my channel. But there is ALWAYS a risk when using other people's content. They can come back a year later and make a claim. With short clips I've always been ok, like 5-6 seconds.

What about movie and tv reactions? No matter how I try to record everything gets gray screened. I want to do stuff like Dylanisintrouble does.

Let me ask this: For my other channel I’ve wanted to do horror movie reactions. However when I try to screen capture I record a black screen. Obviously I know why they do this but I see other reactors using OBS while viewing movies off Amazon or Netflix with no problem. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround I haven’t found yet? I’m using a MacBook.

Try using chrome and turning off hardware acceleration.

How did it sync your videos together when you were only recording sound from one of the sources ?

I recorded sound from two sources, the microphone attached to the camera, and the microphone on the computer.

@@eazymerked The snowball is a pretty good mic! It's not the mic it's: 1. Get the mic CLOSE to your mouth - 6-8". If it's 2 feet away it'll sound like sh!t. This is way more important than the mic. 2. Make sure you're not in an echo chamber. Carpet, furniture, soft surfaces. A room with a hard floor and wooden furniture will sound terrible. You can hang blankets on the wall or on PVC stands around you. 3. Turn off loud stuff - fans, fridges, hard drives, kids, girlfriends, wives 🤣 You can remove noise easily in CapCut with Vocal Isolation, but it will sound BEST if your record it correctly. A shotgun mic, like the one I use on my camera, the Rode VideoMic Pro+ WILL help isolate audio - it's directional. Point it at your mouth and it will ignore most of the rest of the sound. Do you have a video where you mention how to do a J or L cut in CapCut without extracting the audio? I always extract the audio from the clips but it is such a head ache to keep the clips in sync with the audio, especially if you change something earlier in the timeline the whole audio gets so out of sync

Hey trevor ! Question for you, I tried syncing my both clip but capcut says couldn’t sync video to sound... Is it because I pause the video that I watch while reacting ? Maybe someone is having the same issue?

The videos don’t have to be the same length, but there for sure needs to be matching sound for the entire length of the shortest clip. If the shortest clip is starting and stopping, it won’t be able to sync with the longer clip that didn’t have the same exact pauses, also, sometimes CapCut and even premier pro gets it wrong.
