Hello how did you covert your percentages to the oz used. I’ll be making 4oz spray bottles and would like to use the same base.

You just need to multiply the 4 oz bottle your using with .30 for the FO.

Flaming candle suggests using anywhere from 2% to 5% FO. Just figure out how many ounces of base you need…let’s say you’re going to do four 4oz bottles, so you’d need 16 ounces of base. Take that 16 and multiply it by the percentage you choose, and let’s say that’s 5%, which would come out to 0.8 ounces, so not even a full ounce. I concert everything to grams, and I also use 4oz bottles, and make four at a time, so my measurements are 454 grams of base and 23 grams of fragrance oil. That’s if you want to use that 5%, but I found that 5% is great, strong, and long lasting on linens!

You only do one spray bottle at a time. Why not make enough for 4 or 5 bottles?

The maximum FO percentage for room sprays across the board is 5%. Even when making candles the maximum for some FO is 10-12%.

I was on NorthWood Distributing, and they are saying you can go up to 25% if it's a room spray. If it will be applied to skin, linen or a combination of all three, they are saying it is not recommended to go above 5%.

If your bottles are 3.4 oz, then shouldn’t the FO at 30% be 1.02 oz and the base be 2.38oz? Can you tell me how you got FO at 0.11 oz?

I just started using their base and they recommend 2%-5% FO on the website. But that seems too low for me.

On the Flaming Candle website it recommends about 30% FO. However with some FO you might use less because it may be too strong. I find anywhere between 20% to 35% FO works

@@cartercandlestick8120 flaming candle recommends 2%-5% FO. Also you said you’re using 30% but if your bottle holds 3.4oz, 30% would be 1.02oz. If your bottles are 3.4oz, and you’re using 0.11oz of FO then that’s only between 3.2 and 3.3% FO.
