I'd recommend having a seperate button do the selecting, or adding a confirmation to proximity mode. With combo dial/select buttons, it's really easy to accidentally turn the dial when you're pressing select, and if you do that and accidentally switch on proximity mode i could see it accidentally igniting if the operator is too close to the device

Man, a smaller version of this that sends out airsoft BB's would make for an *excellent* tool in an airsoft game. Just set em up and let the enemy deal with the minefield. Being able to remotely disarm them would be a massive plus for post-round.
