I always wonder how each bassist chooses to tune for lower songs like this with a low E, etc. Choosing to play in the same octave as the guitar or play an octave lower. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Jaya's transcription in this video and Nick of course killing it as usual.

Funnily enough, if you don't see a dingwall and the guitar tuning is below g# or something you can basically expect them to play in the same octave.

This is the exact reason I've been wanting a Dingwall (or the new Ibanez BTB multi-scale for that matter) for years. The 37" mutli-scale *chef's kiss*. Although I know once you get so low on the bass it's just going to get muddy regardless.

It's crazy to think that all of those brands are pretty much Fender now. Fender owns Jackson, EVH, and Fender, obviously. I don't mind though. I loved my Jackson dinky that I used to have. I love my Strat with hot rails. You can't go wrong with EVH guitars and amps. I like how some EVH guitars come with stainless steel frets. Anyways, I guess Fender is really killing it right now lol

I wish it was actually a playthrough and not just the production audio with muted vocals. I love the song and the band alot, but this doesn't showcase the guitars at all. Like might as well have them unplugged and no cabs behind.

I'm not an expert, but here 1:23 you can see in left down corner some cord close to the leg of guitar player, and something green lights at the back of bass player. It may be bluetooth transmitter for guitar. At 2:43 you can also see two things (to the right and left of the bass player) that look suspiciously like cabs. Perhaps you don’t hear the sound of the strings themselves and the picks here because the sound is recorded from the console, and in order for it to sound good and match the video, the sound is processed by a couple of plug-ins. But like I said, I'm not an expert.

They may have actually played along to the song for this video, but the audio for the video is the same identical audio for their single's release, with the exception of disable audio track for screaming and singing. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with doing this, but the whole point of this video is to sell us the idea of buying a Jackson guitar. If I'm not actually hearing the tone they are playing, then what is the point of Jackson showcasing these guitars? Who knows, maybe the guitars and basses the band members used in studio while they recorded this audio aren't even these same Jackson guitars.

Yup. I don’t like knocking other musicians but I see it as the style more than anything. There’s no melody to speak of, it’s all riff salad and tuned so low you can’t distinguish the bass from the guitar. Oh and that showmanship. Metal is supposed to feel dangerous, it’s not an exercise in copying and pasting riff tracks and drum samples.
