Ignore the negative comments. I don’t know why people just can’t move on if the content isn’t what they are looking for. You do have a nice workshop and yes you have a lot of tools. However it’s also a well thought out and well presented instructional video. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for and I will be giving this a try. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Graham, received both sets of plans. Now, I need to clear some space & rearrange some projects so I’m ready when I get the jig hardware. I’m thinking the first one will be out of pine, as a learning bowl. Thanks for your videos, your knowledge, help & sharing this with the community.

I just finished building the handrail on my deck kzbin.infoUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!

Graham, Thank you for the clear instructions in the Etsy file. I am from Canada but do not have metric guide bushings. I am trying to figure out how to convert the circle diameter dimensions for use with Imperial dimension guide bushings (3/4" OD 21/32" ID) and 1/2" router bit. I do not have a 1/2" router bit with a top bearing. What wall thickness is the bowl when you use the 278 mm diameter outer wall jig and 251 mm diameter inner wall jig? Based on the description the outside diameter of the bowl is 278mm. Is this correct? Mark

This is a great looking bowl, ash really does pop! The jig is ingenious. Not a criticism, it would be a bit more work: inset the bottom in a rebate so the seam doesn’t show on the side, add one more layer so you have three even layers. I wonder what claro walnut or zebra wood would look like?

How do you match align the ends 1st & 8th piece? Or just rely on bland grain matching?

Unbelievably complex and time-consuming procedure using loads of expensive woodworking machines to make a bowl that doesn't even look that good. The bottom is just glued on and looks ugly from the side. And who knows what will happen if this wood ever starts moving with change of moisture content - it probably won't look pretty. To save material you could have made a bowl with a bandsaw.
@GTWoodshop2 ай бұрын
Hi Vince, can't say I agree with you, but you are dead right on one point, I could of used a bandsaw. 😁
