In sketchup you can change the color of the lines making groups (that’s assign a color to the line) and then put an option to see the lines with colors. And finally export it. This helps you a lot when you want to select certain lines or make specific groups in Illustrator 🙌🏻

Thank you for the great video! Can I ask how you pick the pattern with eyedropper tool? Because I only can pick the color
@toffuco Жыл бұрын
Hi there! If you open the tool’s options (by doube-clicking the eyedropper icon the toolbar), you’ll see a window with check boxes. Check the two ‘Appearance’ options on top. This should enable you to apply pattern swatches. Hope this helps!

@@toffucohi, I have tried this but I can still only pick up the colour. Do only your textures work for this sort of thing ?
@toffuco11 ай бұрын
@@Anna-pt4uf hi there, no, you should be able to copy the appearance of one object to other. Are you sure that the Fill Color box is selected while you try to apply the pattern?
@berlindaalfred656Ай бұрын
@@toffuco I finally figure it out! You have to make the seamless image a pattern (object>pattern>make) then you can swatch that.

I am 3ds max user, now I want to presentation my project with Adobe illustrator. But I don't know how to convert 3ds max to AI like you did in sketch up to AI. Plz make a tutorial video for 3ds max user.

Hey there! No one on our team is currently using 3dsmax, but we're definitely open to exploring it for future tutorials. Thanks for your suggestion

hello, I am a new beginner of illustrator and in the step we choose the main lines after painting, select > same > fill & stroke button seems inactive on my page. I want to ask what is the reason for that and how i fix it?
@toffuco7 ай бұрын
Hi there! After coloring with Live Paint, you should go to Object Menu > Expand. After that, you can ungroup the coloring group, and only after that you'll be able to apply fill&stroke selection. Hope this helps!

@@toffuco hello, I've tried the method you suggested but the eyedropper only recognizes the color, can you help me out?
@toffuco2 ай бұрын
@@AlmaDonzelli hmm the only thing we could think of is that maybe Illustrator’s Appearance panel overrides the Eyedropper settings. Ensure that your objects are not locked in terms of appearance or style, as this can prevent the Eyedropper tool from applying changes.
