Thanks for the feedback. Great to hear that the shorter format is still informative. It's hard to resist explaining every little thing.

Awesome! Can you share how to use cloth sim on clothes for a character rig? I'm looking into getting realistic folds on clothes when rigging and posing my characters, but can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

I like to apply a cloth simulation and weight-paint a pin group so only certain areas simulate. A little goes a long way, especially around joints and limbs. Using a pin group instead of simulating everything tends to be more reliable. It works similarly to armatures and wings. Since the clothing is parented to the armature, the simulation follows the pin group and animates along with your character's movements. You'd also be surprised how convincing sculpted folds and creases can look, even when they're just weight-painted to the armature. Sometimes, I use the cloth brushes in sculpt mode to create a base level of creases and then simulate slightly on top. Blender Secrets has some great tutorials on cloth simulation for rigged characters-they’re super short and helpful. My next project is creating a rigged character, so I’ll make some videos about it. If I want really detailed cloth simulation for animated characters, I use Marvelous Designer. However, you have to bake down the animation and re-import it into Blender, so it’s a whole process.
