ABOUT
_
In this video, I talk about the Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, time, sincerity, power, love, and learning.
Time closes the gap between the way things are and the way they should be. Time reaps every seed you sow. If you water trees all day, eventually you’ll have a lot of fruit. In this case, you’ve made Time your friend. If you chop trees down all day, eventually you’ll starve yourself of oxygen. And so in this case, you’ve made Time your enemy. A wise person understands the Effects of Time on their actions and so befriends Time.
When you act sincerely, you do what you genuinely want to do. When you do what you genuinely want to do, you put your own knowledge to the test. When you put your own knowledge to the test, you may come across a contradiction. This means you failed the test, or in other words, something is wrong with your understanding. And by resolving this contradiction, you learn.
There are two ways through life: The Way of Power and The Way of Love. The person who follows The Way of Love remains open to learning, understands the Effects of Time on their actions, and makes time their friend. The person who follows The Way of Power, on the other hand, closes them-self off from learning, doesn’t understand the Effects of Time on their actions, and makes time their enemy.

You are so good at explaining human interaction, I love it. I always like to remind myself that everything is energy, and so, where one chooses to put their energy (mentally or physically) is how they think it will serve their best ability to Survive and Thrive; all whilst conserving energy for the future, thus extending life to the fullest in hopes to gain more understanding of any of its beneficial nuances. I am told the meaning of life is to achieve perfection, and since perfection can always be worked on, it makes sense that life seems infinite. I love freedom in thought and how it often reveals perfect balance. My understanding of love = gifting life energy toward a respected admiration. l hope you know how much your teachable gift of sharing your time and energy learning, simplifying, and perfecting the understanding of human Actions and Reactions for Survival and Thriving in pursuit of perfection is appreciated.

Challenge your own beliefs objectively, and falsifiably. Often and always. Embrace being wrong. Be delighted by it. And put your ideas through the ringer. When you do this, you'll be right most of the time (because you've tested your ideas so thoroughly) and when you are wrong, it won't be bad, it will be wonderful, because you just learned something new and got better.

Question: Does The Way of Love means/act in agreeableness ? I think for me it is slightly hard to understand that, to become much more assertive does it means one person live in a way of power? I know that I might missed the point, I hope you guys can discuss with me and sort this idea out, much appreciated and Thank you

Someone who follows way of love looks for the mutual satisfaction of desires in every interaction. It’s not about being agreeable or less assertive, but rather a dedication to a win-win solution
@MZ.steve23
@MZ.steve23 2 жыл бұрын
@@FreedominThought But in some circumstances it is almost impossible to meet a win-win situation isn't it? For example: In my current career, we face a situation where supplier fail to provide a quality good to us, so we ask them to rework the goods in which hurt them (cost and time) more than it hurt us, because they have to spend their time and energy to redo the things again, and it is a cost that even for us is too heavy to bare; in this way even though we also bare the cost of waiting their goods to be reworked and completed, they bare the cost of redo the whole process again. So in this kind of circumstances which we look into both of our costs, it doesn't seems like a win-win. Feel free to point out my error if I'm wrong.

Hmm... I still don't get it. What does the Way of Power and rhe Way of Love has to do with making a friend of time? I realize that the Way of Power is basically how most of us think due to how the world is structured, and esp those with both low and high self-esteem. Basically making the usefulness of people or their utility the gauge for people's importance. Hence, when one doesn't feel like one is useful or higher in the pecking order, a person may have low self-esteem. Ironically I have had this mindset for myself since I was a kid. But I appreciate everyone else. Much of a double standard really. As such I have low self-esteem up to today.

I love this video, thank you for making it! This is my take: Living in the past, present, and future is to not deny our successes and failures of the past, not to ignore the possibilities and risks of the future, but instead weaving all that together tightly with the present. Instead of feeling disjointed, we become concentrated, knowing that past, present and future are all connected and interdependent. If we have an appropriate view of the past, present, future, meaning we neither discount nor elevate the meaning of either, our relation with each can make us stronger, and deal better with life.

honestly, I am a person who follow the way of power. Always have the urge of comparing myself to others, to see who is more superior and inferior. This video made me realised that I have been insincere in my learning. I have low confident because I have a habit of comparing myself to people who are better than me. This inferiority made me not believing in myself and follow the wills of others. The styles of learning that influence by others is not efficient because it doesn't fit me. Thus, I suffer and lose the will to learn sometime. This is not enough to change me, but now I have more insight of myself. Thank you for such a great video.

That's how the brain works. We are always comparing ourselves to each other, and there's nothing you and others can do to stop it, unless you want to isolate yourself completely from society. Instead of fighting against the inevitable and the harsh truth and reality of life, that we are in fact competing against each other for scarce resources, why not just go all out on your potential and prove to yourself how far you can go in life? Like Robert Greene said in an interview about his book "The Laws of Human Nature", you're not going to get rid of envy, so why not just work to become better than those you envy? In fact, that's the only way you are going to get ahead in life. By striving to become and do better than those at the top. Your other option is to stay at the bottom or somewhere in the middle, and that's fine but don't complain if you wake up one day and you realize that you don't have the best of what the world has to offer. To get anything valuable in life, you have to fight for it. Nothing is for free, and nothing worth having comes easy.

There's an old Aesop fable about the sun and the wind that has always stuck with me. To summarize: If you want a person to take off their coat, a cold breeze won't blow it off, they'll just close it up and turn away. However the sun's warmth will open that coat right up and get it taken off. I call it "Leading with Love." There's so many people out there. Each with their own stories of passions and pains. Bringing that warmth to everyone you come across with that in mind makes life so much more fulfilling. Just being genuine and kind is so hard to come by in this life. Be that diamond in the rough.

Do you think it’s possible to naturally have elements of the way of power AND the way of love? I find myself relating to both paths in my past and can see myself reacting in both way in my future.. what I’m asking is do you think there are grey areas? if that makes sense..

Isn't it really ironic that the men who chase the power in life are generally those who go meanless battles ending with the lose of power...

Man your videos are amazing thanks! I’ve thought about this concept, and for the future I think very much like you. For past, I’m trying to take actions so that my past desires are more likely to happen in the future.
