#AirDryClay #siliconerubber #Siliconemould
Heyyyyy lovelies, in today's video I am continuing with the Air dry clay experiments and this time - Not only are we embossing Air Dry Clay ( use any medium of your choice ) we are then taking some ECO pouring castings from the Air Dry Clay and then we are making a silicone mould of those Eco Castings. We do not stop there - we are then taking an Epoxy Resin casting from our own DIY silicone mould to bring this project full circle.
Air Dry Clay can be purchased from Amazon, The Works or Hobby stores around the globe. I fully recommend DAS - it is the best. I have linked it here from Amazon - this is an affiliate link.

Claire I have to say this is one of your most amazing stunning projects! You never fail to amaze me at your, tenacity to get things done and to get them right because the end result is beautiful, beautiful I would hang this on my wall it is so gorgeous. However I don’t have the patience that you have to endure the pickiness of it all and trying to get it all done and end up with the piece that you ended up with… You never fail to surprise me or make me smile or even make me laugh… Thank you so much Claire❤❤❤ job well done🤗❤️🇨🇦

Wow, what a LOAD of work! But, what amazing results! I LOVE these castings, Claire! ❤ Beautiful, original designs. 😘💕😍 I actually love the eco powder castings, too. I'd hang em on my walls! I do love the matte finish, and I think if it was shiny, it wouldn't look quite as detailed...I think the light refracts too much and prevents the eye from being able to "register" all the gorgeous detailing. GREAT video...thank you!

Okay, this turned out beautiful! 😍 I don't even care that the chameleon powders don't show up well on matte surfaces. 😆 If you're really wanting shine I guess you could use a paintbrush to literally paint resin on it or just add a clear gloss spray topcoat to make it shiny. Not sure how that would work over the metallic wax though. 🤔 Might be better to dry-brush metallic paint on top to highlight the embossing instead if you plan to do that. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yeah, it was totally worth the sacrifice of a bit of air-dry clay and silicone (though the silicone is a bit painful even though you can use the extra bits to fill in larger empty spaces in another mold if you chop it up a bit) so just consider it an offering to the crafting gods. 😅 I will, however, suggest that you invest in some cheap kiddie lego blocks (the oversized kind) for this kind of thing. They work great for making the outer walls to pour a silicone mold and if you get enough of them you can make an outer rim as big and tall as your sticky-back bottom allows. It works surprisingly well, especially if you use some clear tape to cover the seams in the bricks. 😁👍🏼 Try finding them secondhand in a thrift shop or something similar. 😉
