FYI - I filmed this a few weeks ago but it was bumped due to all the holiday festivities 😀
But I think it is actually best served after the New Year as we all try to start the new year off right. I don’t actually believe in “no buys” or “ban island” because I feel like that mentality is too restrictive like a DIET and can BACKFIRE. But I do promote using this type of methodical, thoughtful checklist to help avoid costly regrets.
I also didn't mention this explicitly, but I do not suggest going into debt to purchase luxury💗

Great video! Been a subscriber for awhile but first time commenting. Here are some things I consider: 1) Is it practical for my current wardrobe or do I have to buy lots of other items to wear it? 2) Put a wait period to it and see if I still want that item. Helps cut down on compulsive purchases. 3) Would I still buy it if it wasn’t on sale/no promotions around the purchase?

I try to buy natural materials, and also give preference to sustainable brands. I think Hermes is fairly decent… one thing I don’t love is how normal people are limited in terms of quota bags (and really all bags), a good thing in terms of encouraging slow purchasing, but clearly they have encouraged obscene levels of overconsumption by VIPs with huge closets of exotic bags.
