Glad to see you in the shop. I am a solo homesteader myself. Bought some raw land, a tractor, And a camper and making a go at it. I’m familiar with being overwhelmed. Enjoy the journey and eat that elephant one bite at a time. Prioritize your time and lessen your ambitions will help your journey that you were designed to walk. Enjoy the walk, my friend, most folks don’t have the ability or the opportunity to do so.

Exceptional people have such high standards for themselves - this piece of exceptional art and skill is something you should remember when those tough times come around. Most people dream of doing one exceptional thing in their life - don't worry that it is impossible to be exceptional every day. A pleasure to watch your journey - as always. Thanks

Jesse's work is so impressive, he's got the skills of a carpenter, but those sculpted wood inlays, the joinery he does, just sets him appart. As an added bonus, we get humour here and there.

Fantastic to see the creative Jesse back on KZbin. Love the island adventures, that’s aspirational; but the heart of the samurai is the creative work. Thanks for the tool tips too. Sharing both knowledge and love. Thanks. 😊

A couple of months ago I saw the video where you were emotionally and physically tired and I really appreciated you more as a person. You didn't hide, you expressed your fears, the burdens of your soul and you asked for help. Excellent people have a proactive attitude towards life, consciously aligning their sense of self with their life choices. The importance of taking responsibility for your consistent goals, because only you can truly change yourself and your life and carry out your initiatives with good intentions. Once you decide which goal you want to adopt, you embrace the goal with your entire being and consciously align your identity with the goal. However, that doesn't mean you're rigid about keeping your goals consistent at all costs. Sometimes you take responsibility for goals that end up clashing with our ever-evolving identity, personality, talents, and basic needs. You are always ready to change your goals if necessary. Evaluate your experiences and actions to see if they lead you to self-actualization. We've all experienced the "nagging feeling that something isn't right." Well-rounded people like you actively embrace this complaint. People tend to move toward intrinsic goals (e.g., emotional intimacy, personal growth, social contribution) and/or away from extrinsic goals (e.g., material possessions, physical attractiveness, and social popularity) over a long period of time. You actually know the goals that are beneficial to your subjective well-being, apparently because they have a holistic evaluation process. You learn self-regulation strategies and cultivate your character strengths to make effective progress toward your goals. You experience valuable empathy, and act with maturity, sobriety, and composure, as well as with patience and perseverance, and despite of all the difficulties and changes you control your impulses. The role of the family in their cultivation and development is undoubtedly great in your life. You respect and appreciate your audience, which is us the viewers, you are a true, modest, selfless and complete man, husband, father and friend, you enjoy strong emotional bonds and you have the ability to be flexible and adapt to various difficult social, family and personal situations. I believe that your wife is also a truly complete person, who has a proactive attitude towards life, just like you, and therefore there are no conflicts but only respect and love. I believe that your children learn and are educated by you and you help them take the first step towards understanding themselves and others, they gain an identity, they learn to build stronger and healthier relationships. You must be a very good and respectable man. I'm not going to talk about how good of a craftsman you are. This is a fact. You are an artist!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to see you and yours evolve in front of our eyes, every time you upload videos. I am at least happy and optimistic that there are people on earth with your morals, respect, integrity and goals, because as I am experiencing the end of my life, I take courage from your generation and from you. The place you have chosen to build your home is magical! I wish you all health, love and many good and beautiful moments. An old woman from Greece, sends you and yours, love and gratitude. Thank you.

Samurai Carpenter: 31 years , Tent, family, house build, winery , vineyard, pizza ovens, I keep building, no skills tho. age 69 now... Easy to say, hard to live. It is all about how you see your world... Get some friends, food, music ( wine in my instance) and do a communal build... good for the soul... I built a straw bale house, winery, now single track bike trails etc. this way. you need your tribe around you for support! Good job being a good dad. Hardest work there is... Best, NightHawk Winery

Beautiful scroll and carving work! At first I didn't think I was going to like it because of the opposing grain on the top but now seeing the slight overlap of the shorter pieces it really pops! This is a beautiful piece. All of your work carries your signature within the final result. Your style comes shining through all of your work. Your eye for design is amazing!

Hey Jesse! Nice to see an ‘old-style’ Samurai video again. Although I REALLY enjoy the Samurai-on-an-Island episodes, once in a while I yearn for the woodworking vids with woodworker tips n’ tricks. And this new didn’t disappoint. Great to see you getting inspiration once more. Clearly you’ve created enough room and peacefulness in your head so you can get that original creative process fired up once again in the workshop. Keep m coming man!
