I’m a longtime fan, Jeff, thank you for your Ansible for Devops book years ago, it was my first serious intro to Ansible. Thanks for sharing this presentation!

Thank you so much for all the great content! This one in particular is invaluable. For someone who is rolling out Ansible to their enterprise, these tips are great for getting it right at the beginning

I'm new to these things and a lot of my initial activities will be tinkering, will this not create another level of abstraction, will it be harder to learn what to do if I also need to learn how to automate it? Also: my existing units can be considered snowflakes as there is no documentation today, how do I start creating an environment that let me continue to use my existing equipment? Right now I am at a simple laptop, phone, and tablet setup. I am considering buying a stationary computer to use as my server, and I'm baffled by all the possibilities.

Does the Amazon version of the ebook get updates as you publish newer editions?
@JeffGeerling5 жыл бұрын
Yes; I usually update the Amazon ebook version once a quarter or so, and the print book twice a year (note that the most recent edition is the latest version). Unfortunately I can't update paper copies that people already purchased ;)

Thanks for buying the book! If you bought it on LeanPub, you can log into LeanPub and download the latest version, any time. If you bought it on Kindle, you have to email Kindle support and request the latest version.

Good video. But the first ten minutes is basically a waste of time. Give me a bit of your background, tell me what you use ansible for, and then get on with it. That should take two minutes, three tops.
