Very nice organ sound.

Thanks. It's even better now. I've added a "flute" section and a "solo organ". I have also added strings (Vox celeste) effect.

Thank you for sharing. Your video was the reason why i bought the x700 yesterday and also the initial glimmer for a new project of a small budget 2 layer organ plus bass pedal. I am happy for any ideas.

Try out my "registrations" (read the replies to @dwsel ), and look out for the next video. Unfortunately, THIS one here didn't quite work out so well because of the microphone echo issue. Nevertheless, the "organ" recording wasn't impacted like my voice was kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5Wyoqlna9SAo5I . I shall try to make a new video in about two weeks time.

As an organist myself, great realistic registrations I'd be interested to know what tones you used used to simulate the reed sounds? Thanks for sharing

It's actually better now. I am (promise) going to do another video of this - now that my "organ" also has a separate flute and also a separate strings section. It's just a matter of time. The reason the keys are audible is because I'm playing at greatly reduced volume in my flat. The microphone therefore picks up the sound of the keys, and they sound proportionally louder to the "organ" than they would if that were played at a more normal volume. The "registration" you will find by reading my replies here, and following the link to it. Although, as said, I have now improved this to include the two additional sections. I have also added a solo trumpet to the solo clarinet. Thanks for your comments. Be sure to check out (this too needs to be redone because of the echo on my voice - I am struggling to find the time) kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5Wyoqlna9SAo5Isi=dbTU8gvyOaFDiQwF

Thank you for your videos on this topic and sharing registrations. I like your results very much and the idea itself of very affordable, budget friendly "organ" for home use. I have Casio CT-S400, which is very similar to CT-X700 (same tone list, sound engine and settings), but more compact (26 cm in depth against 35 cm of X700) and there is some space left in my room for something else. I plan to add a second affordable keyboard later to use it like a second manual, for instance, for Schwellwerk or Solo. Have you ever tried something like that?

Sounds amazing. I didn't know these models were capable of such sound. Can you share the voice numbers you've used as a diapason and in the pedal? I'd totally want to try to recreate at least 50% of that richness.

Of course. I wanted to make a better version of this video, because I realise that the sound quality and presentation were not the best. However, my video took a copyright claim, and it took me about two months to dispute this. Can you believe that even "Thine be the Glory" (it is in the Public Domain) can bring you problems, because some people have made their own arrangements of it and these of course are protected by copyright. I did make such a "disposition" to my "organ". All of the "registrations" are the keyboard's own default sounds, although as I point out in the video I deliberately do not use equal temperament and I have also re-tuned the pitch to A=442. My default registration can be found if you study this spreadsheet. The numbers are the default sounds of the keyboard 1drv.ms/x/s!AkSkOK59IK_Flqw0jytuYE3uXsEHFA?e=LgUAHV

@@organisten Thank you for sharing your registrations 👍 I have CT-S500, but they share the sound engine, and I should be able to match the numbers from your list with appropriate numbers in my instrument. I'm sorry your video has been taken down. I really don't like modern copyright law and what has happened to you. I totally know the mechanism by which your video has been claimed. Someone either records the commercial rendition of the classic song and automatic algorithm can't see a difference between your recording and their or worse someone maliciously claims their copyright to earn money. Also I'm sorry about your other informational and personal opinion videos you've shared during pan... The time has confirmed we were "at the right side of the history."

@@dwsel Once you achieve your desired sounds, you must additionally adjust your default equaliser (I recommend the setting for most base, although perhaps you prefer "classic" for the organ full reed sound). On the other hand, if you are using external speakers, you'll pretty much have to fiddle around to find the exact setting.

@@organisten Thank you for the additional suggestions. Casio CT-S500 has editable DSP settings giving opportunity to set separate equalizer for each of the layers. However I have to check how it behaves on switching the saved presets (if the sustained sound is left unchanged or if there's an abrupt change of DSP setting causing a glitch). This was the case in older models of Yamaha home keyboards, and with PSR-E433 I couldn't set up layer to have different EQ settings between the presets, because of that glitch.

@@dwsel it is possible on the CT-X700 to program which of the "other" settings er retained on the memory banks. Another important thing, which I don't think I mentioned, was that I have set the pedal to the sotenuto function. That's very important for holding long organ pedals while you are playing other passages in the "manual".
