I am a new cat owner as I adopted a ferile kitten that was 2 weeks old when we found her. She is 4 weeks now and very active. I am adjusting to her wild temperament but I started looking for tips to keep my kitten calm especially during the evening when I have to get some sleep. I rescued a 6 month old cat in an abandoned bridge she later had five kittens we have two away and kept three I find that the best way to calm them is to put them in a warm blanket with a video like this and turn the volume up and it might make them feel like there with there mom or siblings

Lol To death Aww, I hope your adorable cat isn’t stressed anymore. It’s heartwarming to see how you’re sensitive to his needs😻 I was adopted by a neighborhood stray years ago and after fixing all his many physical ailments there was still something just not quite right (he yowled & panted a lot). A vet said he needed antidepressants, which didn’t help because there was a different problem (which took more than a year to discover). A smarter vet suspected thyroid problems. The test was worth every penny - he had hyperthyroidism, and there were pills to treat it, and they were super cheap at Costco pharmacies because humans use the same ones. I felt so bad that he had suffered what the vet described as extremely confusing panic attacks

I used recordings of cats purring (no music or other sounds; just purring, the deeper the better) to comfort a deaf foster kitten and it worked really well! I “dressed” an iPad in a soft shirt, placed it in her bed and turned the volume all the way up. She recognized the vibration she had felt with her mom and snuggled her tiny white fluffiness against it. iMaybe if you lightly cover a similar device, or a speaker, etc, with a sheet (or just leave it bare), turn the volume up as far as possible & position it so your cat can feel the vibration of the purr power you’ll be able to give her a fantastic treat? 😻

My kitten jumped on the bed and kept pouncing on me whenever he saw my legs or arms move then he jumped towards my face and lunged at me like he was going to bite but didn't. He then stood on the headboard trying to bite it then kept jumping and scratching at it then suddenly stopped and laid on my chest with his head near mine and gently put his paw on the side of my face and looked in my eyes then went to sleep. That only happened once now he just comes and lays on my chest without acting crazy lol

My year and a half old is the most anxious kitty ever and has alot of trouble sleeping. We rescued her less then a month ago and ive only ever had dogs my whole life. She had kittens before she was a year old so i heated up a rice bag and played this for her. She started cuddling the rice bag and Licking it and i heard her purring immediately. Shes sitting near them both now but this definitely did something.
