How are hydraulic holders manufactured? How are the internal features made?

Our high precision toolholders consists of a consists of a double-walled sleeve filled with a pressure medium, screw and piston with seals to maintain pressure. When the pressure screw is tightened, the sleeve expands uniformly against tool.

3 thou TIR for a hydraulic holder when you can just use a normal holder? Why pay extra and get the same results?

Hi Justin, the main purpose of this product is to eliminate runout in your existing ER collet holder and also in your machine’s spindle for drilling and reaming applications. Or for easier tool changes on live ER spindles. It is not meant to convert all ERs or replace hydraulic chucks. It gives you the ability to turn your ER collet chuck into an adjustable or steerable holder. Etp are swedish so that will represent 3 microns. If your tool is running out 3 thou, you need to change your holder and check your spindle
