Question(s) Re: Taking responsibility for your own emotions…. 1. Would you say there is a difference between taking responsibility for & taking control of your emotions? 2. If while you’re having a positive interaction / emotional connection with your ex & even though you can maintain control over what you say & how you say it, but you’re unable to hold back tears etc., what should you do? …aside from just repeating you yourself created the situation & that your feelings are your own responsibility? I have adhd & one of my traits is emotional hypersensitivity. When something happens that triggers an emotional response, for a normal person it’d be like turning the volume up to maybe a 4, but that same trigger for me, is like cranking it up to an 11. They’re aware of this, but at the same time, I don’t want to make them feel awkward or sabotage what would otherwise be a great overall interaction experience.

I liked that I wish I would have watched this video like 3 weeks ago maybe my. Ex would have came back, now she has a boyfriend after a year in a half she got a boyfriend within days after she left me and she said she would never leave me or she would not leave me for long cus of how much she loved me was that all bullshit
@walkertranger57463 жыл бұрын
People always always always do what they want to do and find a way to do it. If their investment level is low … kick em to the curb and don’t waste your time. If they want space…. They really want to explore other options. Love isn’t hard… either you want to be with me or you don’t. Either you appreciate, respect , adore and value me and our relationship or you don’t?! ✌️

Thanks for the feedback. Prior to the meet up, be sure to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally. How you bring yourself in the interaction will make a difference. Practice present moment awareness, avoid overthinking. :-)

@@ClayAndrews I agree with N8F, videos are looking good Clay! I especially like how you’re starting to utilize the segmented time stamp feature. So, when you’re going through a list, like “The 5 things your ex *blank*”, it shows which item your talking about etc. To caveat off what N8F asked… you’ve discussed in other videos how (as a human being) your ex needs to feel Seen, Heard, Understood, & in many cases Safe as well. In that aspect, if you’ve been actively improving/changing habits etc. (w/ consistency 😉) that you know were significant factors in their decision to break up with you, during a casual coffee meet up… 1. Would it help demonstrate being Heard/Understood by letting your ex know that what they said really resonated with you, thank them sincerely for having been open & honest about what bothered them, & not only mention what you’ve been doing to correct those issues, but also how those changes have made a positive impact on your life?

Update for anyone who was wondering, went well then didn’t. Don’t try and get your ex back. Just move on and keep your head up high. No woman is worth fighting for to the point where you’re no longer doing what’s best for you. People come and go and it’s only human to embrace that. They just wasn’t the right one - keep it moving. Give yourself time to recover and get yourself back out there. I wish I didnt spend time trying to get her back because I was getting fixated on the outcome to only be disappointed in the end. It’s not worth it. Just let it go.

Hi clay! I love your videos…I just need some advice about something…my sons father and I began talking again about 5 months ago…he has plans to go back with me but he doesn’t want to give us a title yet…such as being in a relationship. I don’t know if I’m being dragged along because he’s bored or he is actually wanting to build our relationship again.
@ClayAndrews3 жыл бұрын
Since your ex is quite open to the possibility, focus on building the connection with him. This can be an opportunity for both of you to get to know each other over again after the separation. To feel if the dynamics have fully changed and if the core reasons of the breakup were properly addressed. Label will not define the relationship. But it is also about addressing the root cause as to why the old relationship did not work. All the best.

Bro, after a couple of months of no contact I reached out. Went on a date and it went really well. Kissed and hugged and connected. Now after 4 weeks she still doesnt want to call or meet. She does take initiative through text. I found out she's dating someone. She doesnt know, that I know. What should I do? Thanx for everything and much love from austria! X

@@FunnyVidsIllustrated sure bro. So i went no contact again. She reached out after a month. Wanted to meet. Now we are dating again. Having sex and are reuniting. So probably shes gonna be my gf again very soon. Just trust the process. Dont believe all the video's. Just be very relaxed and attentive. Dont force your change. And i must say, these videos make you overthink a lot. Dont do that. Go with the flow and let her initiate. History is stronger than the rebound

@@Anonymou990 dude I'm genuinely happy to hear that, and thanks for the sound down to earth advice, my brain is cooked from all the hoops and advice every time I speak with her - but can I ask you, was the month of no contact communicated clearly or you just went silent?

Clay I would like some perspective on a situation please. My ex and I have been talking on the phone once a week. I suggested 2. He says were in different time zones and I dont have much to say to you let's keep at one. I asked are we friends are acquaintances wasnt sure his motive told him so. I made the mistake saying I wasnt interested in friends. He said thanks for sharing have a great day. When we do talk it was awkward at first. He opened up some more. But what is the motive sounds like he really wants nothing to do with me and talking to me is a way to pass time. He said his boring alone and just works....I get the impression I'm being used for attention
@ClayAndrews3 жыл бұрын
Hi Carla, The thing with how we perceive things may be different from what your ex's intent really is. I understand that you wanted to hear his intent and purpose of reaching out. The question is, do you feel comfortable talking to him and be in acceptance of what he can offer at this time? Or would it be truly important for you to know his purpose so you can connect with him appropriately? At the end of the day, you have to communicate that properly with him because he is the only person who holds the truth. How we perceive things may not be his personal trust and the last thing that we wanted to happen is for us to give you a false impression.

You know? I'm not entirely sure if I had been doing this right, but my ex basically said she thought I felt nothing, she went out of her way to cause a reaction, and well... She got it. She had been hot and cold for a couple of months now, and I decided to use the emotional connection we had developed through this time ( she even said our emotional connection was something she had never felt, not even the guy she monkeybranched to) and actually told her to stop contacting me, things hadn't moved forward for a couple of months and even said she was just using me, so I pulled back and told her that if that's the way she wanted to continue, it just didn't work for me. It was hard to tell her that and now we're not in contact anymore. She told me she was choosing to be with him rather than me. She has tried to reach out again in the same way, but I didn't reply, Im not entirely sure how I am supposed to enforce this boundary. (She has broken it before just to fall into the same cycle).
