The exchange rate is so good right now in November 2023. 1 USD to 151 JPY! It's like getting 25-28% off EVERYTHING. Every time you eat out, you spend $10-20 less per meal vs in the states. Buying electronics that's made in Japan is nearly 50% cheaper. So if you offset the things you would buy anyway, this can quickly add up and pay for your flight and even your accommodations.

Sadly the world doesn’t work that way. The closest thing you can do is just call every dealership in the country until one of them agrees to msrp and leaving all the protective stickers on it.

I’ve never heard of Zipair and travel from the west coast to Japan fairly regularly. For $356 was that round trip or one way? Still incredible deal if one way

I lived in Japan during the housing bubble. When I arrived 1 USD was about 89 yen. When I left Japan, 1 USD was about 83 yen. The exchange now is a huge blessing for USD.

Yes pls have more videos on Japan! It's my favourite place to visit and I've already been there twice this year. My recent favourite is BookOff 2nd hand store cause the 2nd books collection there are insane and cheap! It's so expensive for me to find and buy Japanese books from where I'm from, so I now go there to stock up. I also buy my music CD there cause I'm old fashion like that 😂.

Trip Advisor was very good at finding cheap costing hotels. Generally $40 to $60 a night, but still decent. A hotel in the states, $90 and a complete dump. 😳

Don't forget about purchasing a rail pass. Expensive, but if you don't, it's even more expensive if you are going to be traveling a lot within Japan itself.

@@BeatTheBush and how many bulky items can you fit in checked in luggage, along with what you brought with you or clothes you bought there? It costs extra for extra bags and certain amount of weight and bulky items are both generally heavier and harder to pack, on top of weight limits going over cost extra.
