I also have an advice in addition to this video : Think about WHERE your pages are going to be, (for exemple the 3rd is on the left, the 4th on the right and so on) Because you have to let a space in the place where your pages are going to be tied up (on the left side of the right pages and vice versa) And in retuurn, you can draw until the edge of the page for the other side (and ofc don’t draw or write after the cut of marks, as it is going to disappear in the final result) And thanks a lot for your video MAR-CEL, it helps a lot ! In America we have a saying, “proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance” another great video showcasing the importance of basic competence that can’t be shortcut. Most people don’t understand the amount of prerequisite skill and effort drawing demands.

Getting confused with a crude storyboard, at least for me, is actually quite fun. If i get around half the idea of the original page, i can wing it with much more freedom than a tight, planned out storyboard would otherwise allow. Sure, more impactful pages do require more care put into their composition, ESPECIALLY if you like playing around with the panels layout and shape, and for those, detailed storyboards are a must. But drawing on the spot improved the creativity and flow of my pages by quite a lot. Great video, Marshall Li :)
