Lovely card Cathy! I love the masking and ink blending. I recently made myself masks out of acetate- rectangle, square, round, oval. Just used my dies to cut them out. I can reuse them over and over. I spray them with Pixie Spray. Thanks for all your inspiration.

It doesn't matter if you use the domed blending sponges or blending brushes, you ink blend like a boss !! I showed a crafting friend how to heat emboss and she proclaimed it ‘black magic’ and rushed out to get supplies! I definitely think it’s the hero of cars making, elevates them from looking too ‘home made’ into ‘hand crafted’.

Lovely card!!! Also: If you put packing tape on the paper you are turning into a mask, it becomes more long-lasting and you can clean the ink off of it.

I have learned over the years that if my ink pad is juicy, I don't have near the problems stamping. I used to struggle even when I used my tool that puts pressure on my stamp positioner. Then I reinked my ink pad and wham, instant perfect stamped image. It truly is important to have the reinkers at hand. If money is tight, buy the reinker and buy the empty ink cubes. Having the pad really inky, makes ALL the difference.

This one got me a bit emotional. I have a friend who lost her son to suicide. On the day we went to visit the location two butterflies flew past us and every time he comes to my mind, a short time later I see two butterflies. This card just reminded me of him. I would love to make my friend a card like this to remember him...

We’ve been looking for a house in Florida. Nicole has been having a rough time with her divorce. We found out that we have a lot of equity in our home so we’re just dipping our toes in the water. So much paperwork, so many houses. We decided to build a house. There are a lot of new developments to look at. Nicole is in Boca, but we just can’t afford anything on the ocean side. My half sister and half brother live in Cape Coral and Fort Myers and a much more affordable area.
