I love that your last name is Roland and you are into synths. Makes me wish my name was Warren Korg, or Hiro Yamaha.

Those laptop stands are underrated as hell. I'm using the exact copy to stand up my DAW controller for easier access to the buttons and faders.

I got a $75 drill press and a $100 miter saw and I've made some pretty elaborate synth stands/shelves/tables. But the best cheap stands I have are the $10 official Swedish House Mafia tablet stands from IKEA. 😂

This must work for the cdjs as well and bellow the mixer right??? Or the space for the mixer would be too small??

Hi Jim!) Thank you very much, i’ve build it for korg minilogue and bass station 2. Im testing it now. I have a question for - what do you mean by black plastic conduit and were it must be placed?)))
@jimmywheelo6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. The video is quite old now and I've managed to find what I feel is a much better solution using 20mm plastic conduit as the divider between each level. 20mm plastic conduit can be found any any good DIY store and you'll find it in the electrical section where electricians shop. It is a cylindrical tube that is used to house cables in electrical installations and you typically buy it in 3 metre lengths for approx 4 pounds. You then cut it down to suit your needs and feed the interconnecting screws thru it connecting each level of the stands. I should get round to doing another video. Hopefully I have explained this ok? Here is a link to the conduit. www.screwfix.com/p/tower-conduit-heavy-gauge-20mm-x-2m-length-black/70541

Jim Roland understand) New video will be great too. Your old version seems nice, maybe i’ll add some corners(maybe plastic or wood) under 1st level on the sides or in the middle, because it too much pressure on plastic from second floor were i place minilogue👍

@@crabbabuzz thanks very much. Yes you're right the bottom stand can become unstable the more layers you add. I've also found trimming the upper layers at the rear can help solve this too and reduce overall weight. It is a good starting point and hopefully will give people some ideas. Thanks again.

COOOL. Might be just what we need Is it stable though?
@jimmywheelo6 жыл бұрын
Yes I find it is stable. I've actually been looking at improving it slightly by using small pieces of black plastic 20mm conduit as the spacer between top and bottom. I think that would be even better looks wise and stability too.
@killahkay21126 жыл бұрын
@@jimmywheelo yea we are looking to make 3 levels for most of our gear ( drum machines and synths...) need it to be about 1.5 meters large.
@jimmywheelo6 жыл бұрын
@@killahkay2112 Well I'd recommend you consider using the black plastic conduit as the spacer. It would work great. When I have time I'll do it myself and post the results
