Brian: Five years ago I produced a weekly pre-recorded studio-based TV sports talk show with a host and one or more guests. While the show was switched between cameras "live," during the recording, there were any number of times in post I needed to make a jump cut in dialogue within one or any of the participant's dialogue. My simple solution (before the likes of Riverside) was, immediately following the interview session, to take a moment to record (MOS) close-ups of each participant facing towards the other(s) and have them look interested or nodding slightly and use three or four seconds of that video cutaway to cover the jump cut in video and/or audio. That was my simple, but effective olution at the time. Hank

Thank you for the tutorial! This is what I would love to do with my own poetry podcast at home, but was not certain how to do short of a live TV studio as I used to use back in the day. I look forward to more tutorials on your channel.

I can’t thank you enough for this video. I use the multi cam feature but always wondered a way I could do side by side angle as well to mix it up.

Thank you for the tips. Although from what I see in the workflow in Final Cut the multicam editing in Davinci REsolve (even the free version) is way faster with keyboard shortcuts is like live-switching, and the file processing is faster.

I am just looking into this software and am very excited about the possibilities with it! Thank you for your tutorials and walkthroughs. My question is: If the video is recorded directly to each computer, (1) do the recordings take up space on the computer of a person being interviewed, (2) what if they run out of space on their computer in the middle of the interview, and (3) do they need to leave their computer up and running while their video/audio is uploading if they have a slow connection?

is it possible to use the text editor in Riverside to have one person pre cut the project (remove unwanted parts, words etc.) and then export the HQ audio and video tracks for further editing (grading and audio tweaking) in the NLE of choice?

You used the wav file from Riverside, and the constant frame rate video also has audio attached to it. Is the wav file higher quality than what is already with the video? I just started using Riverside but haven't used the wav files instead of the audio on the video..
@AudioforContentCreators
@AudioforContentCreators 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, significantly. The mp4 file is AAC, which is a super compressed audio format. It's similar to mp3, but baked into a video container.

@@AudioforContentCreators Great point, I just went and listened deeper to the audio on the mp4 vs wav and the mp4 was more "artifacty"

People had issues with sync early in Riverside’s journey before they introduced “constant frame rate” files, and ever seen everything syncs perfectly. Serve Zoom its papers!

Yes, my clicking on the angles panel. But you need a lightning fast computer to do that without buffering. And I've gotten used to doing it this way.

Great video! I use 1,2,3, buttons to switch angles while letting the timeline play. And slide cuts over if I need the cuts to be more precise. Definitely sped up my editing flow

I'm not new to podcasting or using final cut. You go way too fast. Your audience is very young tech people I"m sure, however, if you would like to reach more people, I highly suggest you slow down with the clicking and explain more of where and what you are doing. I'll look for another video to watch and learn from.
