When you change monitor size, the background doesn't get resized properly compare to the shapes. So not really great in thoses cases. Dashboard can be viewed on large monitor or on a small laptop screen. Any tips on that ?

If you add a picture instead of a background and once placed you select size and position properties, you can put "don't move or size with cells". Is there another way ?

That sounds like a good alternative.

@@MyOnlineTrainingHub It's not perfect because you lose the "grid" as the picture will sit on top. But if you use a xlsm, you can have a macro that will "resize" the screen automaticly to fit the window. I put this macro in a sheet activate trigger.

If you want to know where to align the shapes to, just take a screen shot of the excel page and paste it into the ppt before positioning the shapes, then delete it.

Why not to use a background for the image and shapes directly in excel?

You can do, but they become annoying having many objects and layers to manage and they prevent you actually using the cells as there's an object sitting in front of them. It depends on whether you use charts and tables, or only charts.

Adding backgrounds like that almost increase file size with 2 mbyte, which can be an issue if you already have a big file

You can reduce the image size using a free online compression tool, which should solve that.
